Salon 717 provided truly exceptional hair and makeup services for my wedding. Kellie, Mariah, Jenna, and Joanna are so talented and were incredibly easy to work with. Kayla is a true gem and one of the friendliest people I have ever met. Not only was Kayla helpful in the planning process, but she was so excited for my big day and went above and beyond. I think it’s important that this is brought to the surface in today’s world – a few years back (when I was an F&M student), I would come get my hair cut here frequently. The cut was never great but it was a convenient option. Nonetheless, I continued coming until one of the hairdressers made an anti-Semitic comment that made me feel wildly uncomfortable. The hairdresser was uncomfortable too once I told her I was Jewish. I called to complain and never received a call back or an apology from the owner. I highly recommend against supporting this business. There is no place for that type of conduct in this world. I still think about this situation regularly, especially now given all of the recent anti-Semitic events.

Kellie and her team came on site to my wedding venue for hair and makeup and all the bridesmaids had a fun time getting ready with her team. They were professional and friendly, they offered sound advice for hair styles, and they were great with my 6 year old niece. When the original makeup artist was unable to make it, they handled the process of finding another great artist who did amazing work. The staff at Salon 717 is phenomenal to work with! Kellie and her team came on site to my wedding venue for hair and makeup and all the bridesmaids had a fun time getting ready with her team. Nicole has changed my world! Her color skills are amazing! She took me from a life-long brunette into the scary world of going blonde, but I felt safe in her hands. I was right to. I love my hair so so much, and have been getting tons of compliments! People have told me I look 30- 20 years younger with my new look. Every day I love it more. She managed to give me a big change, but kept it natural looking too. Just what I wanted, and just like the pics I showed her. Can’t recommend Nicole enough!
