I went here due to all the good reviews, but afterwards realized all of the pictures posted in the reviews were of girls with very long hair. I have short hair and have struggled for years to grow it out. I was trying to avoid the mullet look as I grew my hair out, so I went in with a picture of a simple bob haircut that only required the back to be trimmed up to meet with the rest of my hair that was bob length already. I stated I had a difficult time growing my hair and asked the top not to be touched and I did not want the back to be stacked. She went a little overboard with the thinning scissors and cut about 4 months of growth off the top of my head to “blend”. Because she cut my hair dry, I didn’t realize how much was cut until I got home. I am very frustrated as it will take me months the to get the length back. She is very friendly, and I’m sure she is great with long hair as the other pictures look wonderful, but I would not recommend to someone such as myself struggling to grow their hair out.

I had a Gala/Prom on the 17th of September and did alot of research looking around for a hairdresser. I came upon this business that I seen great reviews and happen to be so close to my house. I took a chance and called..and the moment I talked to her on the phone to when I came In to talk to her about what I needed she made me feel so comfortable and reassuring that I knew I had picked the right person for the job. The reviews for this business were spot on..it is a 5 star business. She goes above and beyond for her clients and her employees do thee exact same thing. I would even give them more stars if I could. I was actually surprised at the prices. I had gotten my hair and makeup done and thought it would cost a whole lot more. She could charge more and it would would be so worth it. She exceeded my expectations. I definitely will be going back. And will always recommended that everyone goes to her. If she is seeing this..I want to thank you again!

Today was my first time going to Salon 56, and Ranine did my cut and blowout. I have been wanting layers for a long time to get some movement and volume back as my hair is very fine. My hair was very long and lifeless. Ranine just read my mind as to what I wanted, and explained how it could be achieved. She is super sweet and made me feel welcomed and comfortable. She did a PHENOMENAL job on my cut! It is exactly what I was looking for and wanting! I love it so much, I almost cried once she got done! My hair looks beautiful and shiny, and it feels incredibly soft and healthy! Ranine, I really can’t thank you enough for my new hairstyle. You did a fantastic job and I’m so excited to come back next month to get my hair colored!! I walked into your salon hating the way I looked, but then after you worked some hair magic, I walked out with a smile on my face feeling beautiful! From the bottom of my heart, I can’t thank you enough. See you in November!!! ❤️❤️

I’m a returning client here at Salon56 (Garden City) and I feel like every time I come here, my experience is better than the last. My stylist today, Ranine gave me the best cut and color and highlight of my LIFE. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she recreated it down to the T! She was super friendly, listened to what I wanted and got to work. The end product was something out of a hair commercial. 10/10 would recommend Salon 56 and Ranine!!!
