Been in the Charlotte area for 2 years and unfortunately had not been able to find someone to cut my wavy, unruly, out of control hair (tried 3 salons). I was about to combine seeing my old hairdresser with a trip to visit my friends, when I came across this salon and decided to give it a try. I saw Connie yesterday and I could not be happier. I really appreciated that she took the time to get to know my hair history and looked at some photos and did exactly what needed to be done. It’s all about skill and she knew just what needed to be done. I feel I have found my salon and “my hairdresser”. My type of hair needs an expert hairdresser and Connie is just that. Will be going back for sure.

My daughter has been going to get her hair done there for a while now and she is so happy they were able to get her the results that she wanted. When I have my hair done I always leave feeling so beautiful! Grace is a stylist we have both fallen in love with! She is so sweet and doesn’t mind taking time out to explain what needs to be done and how long it will take. Her prices are forward and more than fair and she is worth every penny! I have sat with 2 other stylists there and they are amazing as well. I am horrible with names so I’m sorry I can’t remember. I’m sure no matter who you get you will get amazing service. This is the best salon my daughter and I have been to in years! They are friendly knowledgeable and are very happy to explain the process. My daughter has been going to get her hair done there for a while now and she is so happy they were able to get her the results that she wanted. Ashley has done my hair here several times and it always turns out exactly how I wanted it. She listens and makes sure the customer stays happy. From cut to color she can do it all. I also have had Thanh complete my makeup for a wedding and she does a fantastic job! I would highly recommend this salon to anyone!

Let me just start off by saying I’m a very particular client when it comes to my hair. I have high standards not only for my stylist but for the salon itself. From the moment you walk through the doors of Salon 42 you’re greeted by the receptionist who makes you feel welcomed and special. The waiting area is spacious and has a modern “rustic” decor. Ashley greeted me within a minute and proceeded to take the time to ask me about my hair requests and listen to my wants. I have tape in extensions, so she took great care of removing them and meticulously keeping them in the correct order for retaping. If you have tape ins that are already cut to your style, you know how important that is. She did exactly what I wanted, if not better, coloring my hair–my color has never looked better and my hair never healthier. When I left the salon I felt like a brand new, new and improved me. Ashley is more than a stylist, she’s an artist and you can tell she truely loves what she does. I won’t be going to another stylist ever again. Thanks Ashley!

I love how welcoming this salon is. Everyone is super nice and make you feel welcomed. Thanh is my stylist and she definitely listens to what I want. She was able to lift my hair beautifully in the healthiest way! I had died my hair black and thought I could never go light again. She reassured me that it is possible and was extremely patient with me and my hair and was able to get me back light after a few sessions and my hair is still so fluffy! I would recommend this salon for sure!

I went to Ashley Reps and was so glad that I made an appointment with her. She is extremely detailed oriented. I showed her a picture of what I was wanting and she was spot on with her delivery. She is amazing with color and cuts. I have curly hair and she was great with adding layers in without cutting too short. I feel like she really takes her time and have never felt rushed with her. I would highly recommend her!

This new salon is beautiful! I’ve been going to Salon 42 for about 2 years now and I love it. I have had my hair and makeup done by different stylist and they all have exceeded my expectations. Everyone is friendly and always accommodating when scheduling an appointment. Love them!

Absolutely love my stylist Thanh at Salon 42! I’ve been going to her for almost 2 years now and would travel anywhere just to have my hair done by her. I no longer trust anyone else due to the incredible job she’s done on my hair. She always makes sure I’m happy with the results and if not she’ll make sure I don’t leave until I’m in love with the final look.
