Critical: ValueMy appointment was for a non fancy simple messy up-do – using a pony tail. She worked on my hair for 40 minutes – spritzed my bangs and blew them for about 30 seconds. She did NOT wash my hair. She used the curling iron to slightly curl the ends; maybe 12-15 curls, put it in a ponytail, used approx. 10-12 bobby pins and about 6 spritz of hair spray. She did take it down once and moved the pony tail up slightly as it was too low. For this simple service I paid $65- before tip. I had no time to dispute the charge; I was helping with a wedding and on a time crunch. But, I was extremely upset when I left. She was as sweet as can be, but seriously $65?? If I could have asked for my money back by having her take it all back down I would have. We want to help our town by utilizing small local businesses, but because of this, I will never go back to this salon, and unfortunately, neither will the several people I told about my experience. They were all shocked at the cost, to say the least. Please ask before you go what you will be charged, I didn’t; because it never entered my mind I would be charged that much. I have paid the same amount for a color and cut; and they even wash your hair when you do that. My appointment was for a non fancy simple messy up-do – using a pony tail. She worked on my hair for 40 minutes – spritzed my bangs and blew them for about 30 seconds. She did NOT wash my hair. She did a balayage to add some summer brightness to my hair, and honestly I don’t think it’s ever looked better!! She listened to my ideas and helped me pick a style that was right for my color and hair texture. She has experience with curly hair, which can be hard to find.
