I was getting tired of driving to Morris County for my hair appointments several years after moving to Lavallette. I tried a few stylists in nearby towns who were ok, but I’d eventually return to my longtime stylist up north. I didn’t care about fancy, trendy salons. I just wanted a great haircut. I have short hair, which makes a bad cut especially disastrous. All during this time, I had debated trying Salon 35 by the Sea here in Lavallette. I would occasionally schedule an appointment, then chicken out and cancel. I finally took the plunge last week and all I can say is, WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?!! From the moment I walked in, it felt cozy and welcoming. The staff are down-to-earth and put me at ease. I needed a cut, plus color and highlight touch-ups. I brought a hairstyle photo, but didn’t have the color reference card from my old salon. Not a problem for my stylist Michele, who figured it all out and I couldn’t be happier with the results!! LOVE my cut and color!!! Thank you Michele and the other ladies at Salon 35. And thanks to my husband who kept pushing me to give them a try. LOL.
