Shannon gave me perfect cut/highlight without me even showing her a picture AND it was first time here. She gave me exactly the cut/highlight I wanted with me describing what I wanted! It pains me to write a negative review for a stylist that was so kind and sweet to me. But her last job on my hair was so wrong that I need to share these pictures to hopefully save somebody else’s hair. At my appointment I repeated several times that I wanted to trim my hair to be right above the breast line. She seemingly understood, but tied my hair behind my back and chopped it to shoulder length. She asked me to donate my hair, and I said yes but I didn’t want my hair any shorter than what I asked for. She disregarded this, and focused on cutting the necessary length off for donations without thinking it would be too short. I wanted layer like the inspo picture – long, wispy layers. Instead, she cut a single, thick, choppy, shelf-like layer of hair around ear length. I wanted long, layered, sexy beach waves but instead I look like a mushroom, or like Rachel’s season 1 haircut from Friends. It’s been two months and I still hate my hair and can’t style it. The top layer is too short to be pulled into a half up half down style. The top layer is too short to be pulled into a low bun or pony. And the bottom layer is too short to be put up in a high bun or pony. I literally can’t do anything but pray it grows back faster. My self confidence has been affected and I hope no one else has to have this experience, especially when your hair is your security blanket.
