Critical: ProfessionalismThis review is of Margaret, NOT the entire salon. I donated my hair & my first time having short hair. I brought pictures showing many layers & angles framing my face & said I wanted to keep as much length as possible/be able to put it in a ponytail still. I told her I was nervous multiple times throughout & each time she did nothing to calm me & instead said things like, “learn how to style short hair, it’ll be better than your hair before, you’ll look like a “real” adult now, you need to get rid of your middle part, etc.” I told her I am low maintenance & do not want hair I need to style/don’t own a hair blower/don’t want one. I was disregarded completely and ignored. (1) soaked the inside of my shirt/sweater when washing my hair, (2) broke my earing, (3) told me how long it would be then cut way more without telling me, (4) no angles, (5) 2 layers that were nothing like the pictures. (5) told me I could still put it in a pony tail but failed to realize it was because she styled it – my natural hair is wavy/curly and it does NOT all fit in a ponytail now. (6) left me by telling me to buy a hair blower.I walked out with the haircut she wanted to give me and not what I asked for at all. She did not communicate what she was doing. If you are someone who is anxious, she is NOT your hairdresser. The owner offered to fix it but the style I wanted would no longer work & I didn’t feel comfortable going back. Hair grows back and that’s not really why it bothered me. It was just distressing to not only be anxious and not catered to at all, but to actually not be listened to, mildly insulted that my natural hair that I love was being talked down on, and walking out not looking or feeling like myself because it wasn’t MY style, it was hers.Services: Haircut, HairstylingThis review is of Margaret, NOT the entire salon.
