I tried to make an appointment at this salon, had never been before. After picking a date & time, providing my name & phone number etc. The guy said we require a credit card upfront in case you don’t show we charge for the missed appointment. I do not give my credit card number over the phone to some random person at a salon I have never been to before. Its a haircut not a kidney transplant. Ridiculous.

Really happy with my experience at Salon 209!! I called this morning and asked if they had an appointment knowing it was a long shot. Kelley was able to fit me in same day and I’m so so happy with how my hair turned out. I’ve been blonde for a long time, and on a bit of a whim decided to go from blonde highlighted hair to a darker blonde/light brown with just a few little blonde streaks. Kelley was able to beautifully execute what I was asking for and went above and beyond to make sure it was done right, since making a big hair change can often be tricky. Kelley is a true professional and I highly recommend her!

Went to this salon for a makeup trial for my wedding, my hair was sprayed heavily with hairspray making it look dark and greasy it was bobby pinned up in the back in a way a child could have, the makeup they used was cheap and looked terrible, stylist also did not do my eyelashes and told me she does not do eyelashes. I looked terrible but checked out as not to make a scene, I called later that day when I got home, no one answered the phone. I called the morning after the trial to cancel the makeup artist for the wedding. I was informed by the owner that I would not be receiving my 500 dollars back. The owner insinuated that my marriage was being rushed, passively aggressively telling me that “most people take months to look for a stylist, I don’t know what your circumstances are that you have only weeks to look for a stylist.” Her salon is dirty and bathroom door doesn’t lock, I assume they need the money however I don’t think it is fair to keep my money for a service that was never received and only booked for a mere 4 hours. I feel terrible that people today feel like it is okay to do business like this.

My fiancee was planning on using this service for her wedding makeup. She was very unhappy with her experience during her trial run. After returning home, she understandably decided that she didn’t want to proceed with their services moving forward. Unfortunately by the time she arrived home the salon was closed for the day so we notified them at the earliest time possible which was the next day, offering that we would gladly pay for the expenses and time of the trial run but were hoping to cancel our reservation and be refunded for the deposit. After several days of waiting to hear back from the manager or owner we were notified that they had decided not to refund us the deposit fees. When I was able to discuss with the manager the reasoning behind this I was informed that it was to protect them from “the lost business” during our “delay in informing them” of her dislike with their service. To clarify the time frame again, nearly all of this “delay” was during a time period in which they were not physically open so it is highly unlikely any appointment bookings were declined for that 3 hour time block in a couple of weeks. Additionally, there were multiple borderline insinuations regarding why were on time constraints regarding our wedding which further upset my fiancee and were quite unprofessional. Not that it is anyones business but we are both in the medical field which as you can imagine is quite busy during the pandemic and finding a time where we could take off as well as get family here safely has been difficult. Thus when a window presented itself we took it despite being “short notice.” I would encourage interested parties to seek their services elsewhere as my interactions with the company clearly suggest that is interested in the quick buck and not establishing costumer service and long term members.
