I get my hair cut about once a year, last time was in April and I went to Supercuts for $17 and it was great. So this time when I needed my hair cut, I headed back there but they couldn’t take me. My dad told me he always comes to salon 109 so I decided to try it since he really liked it. I went, there was a short wait which was fine and normal, and I just asked for a trim. No shampooing or washing or coloring- just a quick two/three inches off. It’s a nice place so I expected it to be maybe $25 max… she charged me $37 and with tip that came to $40 for less than ten minutes of her time. If I wanted a nice haircut I would’ve gone somewhere nicer and fancier where I could get my hair washed and all the fancy product put in it but just for a walk in hair cut at some little place on the side of the road I was pretty mad that I had to pay that much. Not sure if she charged me that much because I’m a teenager and she knew I would not say anything or call her out, but my dad gets his cut for $24 there and it takes him about 20 minutes. But $40 for ten minutes and not extra pizazz or fluff or ANYTHING other than two inches off my hair is rediculous. I will not be back… she did fine, so if you are looking for a good cut it’s not necessarily a bad place, but if you are looking for a step between a super cuts and high end salon this is NOT the place. I’ll just be going back to super cuts from now on.
