Good place with friendly staff. I got a decent haircut except for some patches of uneven hair. The person who cut my hair was busy talking with colleagues in between the cutting. The price doesn’t corroborate with the service. $25 is a bit high for salon inside university.

Czarina provides high end service at the campus salon. The stylists here are not junior stylists as one might expect at a on-campus salon. They come with years of experience. I’m so happy with my fresh new look!

I have gone here a couple of times for fairly standard haircuts, and while their quality has not been perfectly consistent between stylists, they were willing to fix what I was unhappy with. Because I have a very specific hairstyle, I was worried when I left for college that I would not be able to find anyone, conveniently located and priced, to cut my hair. However, after my first appointment at Salon 101, I knew that this was the place to go. The receptionists were so nice, and the stylists were really professional. Amazing salon, everyone here is super friendly. Megha cut my hair and did a phenomenal job. She had exceptional attention to detail and perfection, and spent time discussing what I wanted from the haircut to ensure that it was exactly what I wanted. For areas that I was unsure about, she offered expert advice, and in the end, I came out with a haircut that was better than anything I could have hoped for. This place gets busy, so make sure you book in advance.

I’ve been coming to Salon 101 for two years now, and every experience I have had has been amazing! I got my hair dyed for the first time there and Megha did an amazing job with an ombre/balayage. She always made sure I was comfortable and addressed any questions I had! I have also gotten my eyebrows done with Hanh and Swati and they are both amazing! Overall, everyone there is very professional and the environment is always so fun and welcoming. It is also super conveniently located on UCSD’s campus and its prices are great considering it’s in La Jolla! I highly recommend coming here for hair and threading services!!

Do yourself a favor and stop by this place! Everyone on campus always has wonderful things to say about the salon, and after being a customer for a couple of months, I can surely confirm all of the praise! Hanh is a wonderful hair stylist, and she always is such a sweetheart to talk to. Swati also does my hair perfectly in addition to threading my brows. She makes sure I’m always comfortable, and I am always excited to go back. All of the girls are great to talk to and unwind with for a bit during your hair cut/job. The prices are great, and the people here are even better.

I’ve been going here for the past 2 years. Megha is so good at knowing what style is best for me, and I trust her! Everyone is really friendly and easy going there. The salon has a good vibe overall. Once I graduate this December, I’ll still be going here to get my haircut.
