They messed me up got a haircut there yesterday and the lady was super rude, made my hair look horrible because I showed up early never had a worse haircut in my life. She kept making comments on how my card was cracked as well but after messing up how someone looks how can you complain about money. Really liked my haircut before this but will not be back!!! Now I gotta look like this.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueGot a haircut and balayage with Natalie and she did such an amazing job! I honestly had it done before in NYC and Natalie did a better job. I wanted it to be really natural and sunkissed and it looks amazing. So happy! Will definitely be going back. Also she’s the sweetest person and really cared about how my hair turned out. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI want to give Natalie McConnell a big shout out and thank you i don’t know what or how you did it but a week later and my feet still feel amazing and smooth. I have never I mean never in my life ( won’t go there in my age) had anyone give me a pedi and my feet not feel like sand paper the next day it’s been a week and I’m amazed that they are still so soft. Mind you I am on my feet 8 plus hours a day. Not only that but also my hair I was coloring my hair every three to four weeks now every two months. My hair feels better than ever and is healthier than it has been in a couple years. I highly recommend salon 101 and you have to ask for Natalie she stays booked you will need at least a week or so notice but worth the wait. All my friends know how picky I like things done to perfection. And I have nothing but great things to say for the services I’ve received there. Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueMy name is Michael, and I called and set up an appointment for a haircut and beard trim. I was quoted at $15 and agreed to the cost. I showed up on time, and had to wait some time until my stylist (Tiffany) was ready (not a big deal, that’s usually how salons work.) I went back, and said I wanted a fade, 0 guard from the bottom, up to about 1 inch to 1 1/2 inch above my ear, and fade it to a 2 guard, and I wanted NOTHING taken off the top of my head. She even point to the area where the 0 was supposed to stop and the fade begin, and I confirmed. She proceeds to take this 0 guard all the way up my head to about 3 inches above my ears. Twice as high as what I asked for. Then it’s cut down to a 2, and there’s no fade. I have a solid line all the way around my head, and she was prepared to leave a tuft of my hair right above my beard (it was not beard hair, it was the bottom of my hairline) and I had to point it out not once, but TWICE for her to remove it. Remember when I said that I wanted NOTHING off the top? You do? Well, Tiffany sure didn’t. She proceeded to halve the length of hair on my head and then said “I’m gonna have to take the 2 guard up higher cause it’s shorter right here where it used to be a hard part” well, Tiffany, nobody else has had this problem before. Please don’t accept a men’s haircut if you can’t properly do one. If you can’t fade, just say that. Have a coworker come finish it. I’m a Marine, I hold my standards very high and I was incredibly disappointed in this haircut. To top it all off, I was quoted $15 for the service, I get up to the counter for them to ring me up, and I watch her punch in $18. There’s no taxes involved here, I WATCHED her press 1-8-0-0 to ring it up. And I still left her a $5 cash tip. It’s pretty infuriating. My name is Michael, and I called and set up an appointment for a haircut and beard trim. I was quoted at $15 and agreed to the cost. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueYou only have to be in Salon 101 for a few minutes before it’s blatantly obvious you’re surrounded by experts who have a lot of experience at pleasing their customers. They offer many services – from manicure/pedicures to complicated color, extensions and hair cuts; beauty and sharp looking style is served up in a clean, relaxing spa atmosphere. All the staff are welcoming, pleasant, go out of their way to make their clients feel like family and are definitely black belts at their trade. Natalie McConnell is a stand-out who loves what she does and is surely one of the most skilled beauticians I have ever come across. I’ve had an Oliplex treatment and 2 cuts there by Ami. Just saying, I don’t give perfect scores of 5, because no one is perfect. I do rate Salon 101 and Ami 4.7!!!

Rachel the owner has been a staple in the Washington county community for over a decade now. She has created a warm inviting culture in her salon with a great team around her. Every time I have ever been there she has made sure I left happy. The salon is warm and inviting with a prioritization around Customer service but they don’t shy away from sticking to their roots of making sure you are walking out with the best hair cut in Abingdon. Stop in and try them out. You won’t regret it.
