Quality of service has gone down significantly. Price changes and attitudes. My daughter and now go to KDs on Whalley Ave New Haven. Sally’s never wants to try new styles if it isn’t a box braid, basic corn rolls or crochet.

I went to get two fish tail braids. Lots of women were there getting box braids. They did a great job on thier box braids, but my fish tail braids wasn’t as nice, because it didn’t cost as much as everybody else hair did. My stylist did a rush job on me. They make money because that place was packed. I give them credit for how nice other styles were that I witnessed. Some paid $140 to $180 dollars for single braids. It seemed to be well worth the money. Maybe not fish tail braids that cost $50.00. Nobody really wanted that job lol

only positive thing sis that the service was fast, I was out of there in 4 hours, but the quality is horrible. Paying 160 for unevenly parted hard using low quality extensions is not it. When I got home I saw how bad what they did really was, and this was for single braids, nothing extravagant, if they can’t do what their name states well, “braiding”, then the shouldn’t be in business at all

In less than a week my braids were falling out. The style was not done as I requested the braids were not the same size or design from one side to the other… the excess hairs from the braids were not trimmed… so after spending $120 for cornrows and big singles in the back I had to take my hair out! A waste of time and money.

This place can do nice braids but styling is limited and the service is bad. It is difficult to communicate with the braiders. The owner is friendly but no one knows how to work with natural hair. I’d recommend for simpler styles but there’s no focus on hair care. They violated my natural hair, and there is no customization for styling.

Horrrrible. They are not good at keeping appointments. I ended up being over an hour late for work because they made me wait when I called 7 hours earlier for an appointment. The the owner cussed me out because I let her know. VERY unprofessional and the braids didn’t even come out like I asked. I showed a specific picture and it was the complete opposite. Just a waste of money. This is the FOURTH time this happened and I had someone different every time! Don’t waste your time!

Horrible experience I went to get single medium sized braids and walked out with small braids. Within a 1 week to a 1 1/2 my braids were hanging down and was very loose. One of my side edge braids came out. My hair was showing through the braid and was extremely noticeable because I had a different hair color. I was told there is nothing they could do because it didnt happen with 1-3 days after my hair getting done. Sally stated because my hair is natural which had absolutely nothing to do with it because Ive been natural for over 2 years and have gotten single braids several times and never had this happen. I would never waste my money to go there again. I would never recommend anyone to this place.
