When I went in there to get a membership I was unaware that you are required to do three months. I only wanted to do about two months before going home for Christmas then leaving for a trip overseas. I would be gone most of the third month anyways. They told me I could not freeze the account for the third month and use it when I get back so I’m basically wasting that last month. I also expressed my concern for spending that much money. I’m trying to stick to a budget the lady made me feel worse about it as if I shouldn’t have even come into the store if I wanted to stick to my budget. Now that I’ve been tanning for a couple weeks now, they’re better in how they treat me. However every time I come on a Sunday they are NOT open when they say they’ll be. It’s suppose to be open at 10 am and even when I show up after 10 am they are still not here (it’s currently 10:22am). I don’t feel as if it’s to hard to be here on time. After my membership expires I will not be coming back. I feel as if customer service should be worked on as well as dividing better, affordable options for customers who only want to be there for a little while.

Was very nervous before going in because of the way it looked on the outside. That being said the woman at the front desk, Florence is so wonderful! She welcomed me like I had been going there for years. I have nothing but positive things to say. Thank god for the good positive people still left in the world.

Like others have said it is the only place in town to go tanning and it appears the Sahara Sun crew know it. They don’t have to compete and keep their shops up to standards that I am used to coming from the PNW. All of the rooms are dirty, the staff is always slow and the beds are horrible. The one decent high pressure bed between all three locations constantly breaks and also lasts 24 minutes…who wants to wait that long especially when you normally have to wait at least 10 minutes for the bed to be ready. In two weeks when my contract is up I will never go back. Sahara Sun is a waste of time and money.

this place rocks! and every singe person who works here is amazingly kind, welcoming, and super attentive to even the most insignificant request. i don’t write reviews, but was upset that one (laconic151) would post such a scathing review based on a single experience, and that, after walking in for a first tan just before closing — on a saturday. let me explain: as most would know, a first tan takes time to set up: there’s paper work to fill out, and one must be shown around, etc — and guess what, people work here, not robots. i would reckon they too have lives. what if, for instance, i walked into your (laconic151’s) business on a saturday, just before closing, for the first time? to be clear, i’m endorsing neither your (laconic151’s) statement of fact, nor poor customer service. all i am saying is that slamming am a local business, which i know is a GREAT one, based on a single, last minute experience is not fair– neither to you (since you would eventually realize how cool these people are and how great their service is), nor for the business, who, because of your negative and insensitive post, may decide not to come here — and they’d be missing out — just as you are. to close, i’ve been a client at sahara sun for some time now and they’re just great people who provide a local service with smiles and consistency. give them a try — you’ll be glad you did.
