10/2020 Brent is obviously very skilled at cutting hair. He cut mine exactly they way I wanted it. Studio has a lovely ambiance too, and friendly people. I’d recommend it! Update 4/2022 I’ve been seeing Brent for haircuts since I moved to Palm Springs, about 2 years now. I only cut my hair every 6 months or so. I have long layered hair and I am very specific about how I want it to look. I did a good amount of research before deciding on Sagebrush. When I first signed up with this salon online they asked me what I expected to pay for a haircut , and because I wanted the best possible experience and this being a high-end salon in El Paseo neighborhood, I said $100. That is exactly what Brent charged me every time except the last. I was not told in advance that his prices went up and when my cut was done, perfectly as usual, he charged me $170. I was shocked! Not only was I not warned in advance, but I can’t justify paying $170 for a haircut. It’s just too much. I’m not a wealthy person. If I were wealthy, I may be able to afford it and may pay it. However, because I was blindsided by the owner of the salon, I won’t be going back. I’m sorry to have to say this. Apparently they have moved out of the expensive neighborhood and into their new location. I wonder if they charged me so much to help cover their costs of making the move? I have no idea why. No explanation was given. I don’t think this is a good business practice. If they are doing this kind of thing on a regular basis I don’t see how they can retain good clients. Maybe they have enough wealthy clientele to be able to get away with it.

Positive: Professionalism, QualityI got my hair cut and keratin treatment done here. By far the best haircut ever. Keratin works great for my thick, kinky and curly hair. The salon is cute, modern and hip. My partner got her hair fixed here with a cut and color and wow! Much better than the previous job completed by a different salon in the area. This husband/wife team is fantastic! I used to drive from Palm Springs to Vegas for my haircuts. That’s how particular I am about my hair! My Vegas stylist moved to New York! I was devastated and tried several other stylist over the past 5 years and have never been happy with their performance! Then I asked a new friend where she got her hair done. Her hair always looked great. She told me about Brent so I decided to give him a try. Best decision I ever made. He is a very talented artist with hair. I’m always happy with my results. Hallelujah!! Brent is a “Keeper” for sure. His wife, Carlyn does fantastic color and Val will give you THE BEST shampoo you’ve ever had in your life. A very clean & pleasant environment! I always leave there, HAPPY!

When I finally got in touch with her she was very rude. I went to Carlyn for color. For seven years she tried to rope me and guilt me into having Brent her husband cut my hair. Carlyn “doesn’t cut hair”, so she says. One time, I had him cut my hair and it was awful. I never said anything to Carlyn or Val, then went elsewhere for cuts, but continued my color in her salon. Out of loyalty. Come to read the reviews….several OTHERS did not like their haircuts by Brent either. No Carlyn, “I am not picking on you.” I am NOW telling the truth about the bad haircut Brent gave me. And yes….I never paid for a haircut again. Why would I? I am overjoyed I found a wonderful stylist that doesn’t think she is above taking care of both her clients cut and color , and trying to rope in her husband to give a poor haircut. Carlyn can continue to disrespect and belittle me as a client just like she did on YELP, however the reviews do not lie about Brent. Sagebrush Beauty Studios is a beautifully ambianced salon on El Paseo. On the inside the architecture and decor is interesting and pleasent. Brent and Carlyn are wonderful, easy to talk to, and attentive. They are capturing a really good vibe here.

I honestly rate this 20/10. Its one of the best ive ever been at. And it is the best I have been to actually. They have great customer service, 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Hair cut quality is off the charts, not to mention their hair dye quality as well. They have such great vibrant colors its unbelievable. If you ever need a haircut, hair extensions or need your hair dyed, go to them. They are top notch. Brent, Carlyn, a Val are amazing.
