After some few rough month in my life I finally decided to get a massage. SAGE is a tucked away little place off of the main street down towards the lake. Inside it’s very peaceful and pleasantly quiet. Wendy was amazing. I has a deep tissue massage. I got so relaxed, I just wanted to stay and never leave.

Booked a 1.5hr prenatal massage and it was absolutely wonderful. My first prenatal massage and Wendy made me feel perfectly comfortable. She asks about pressure (scale 1-10, I chose 7) at the beginning of the session and it was just the pressure I was looking for. In my opinion, I could really tell in her movements that she knew how to feel and adjust to what your body needs. Would 100% come back!

I had a wonderful massage with Wendy. She focused on some of my problem areas and also on the body as a whole. The space was very calming and welcoming, which made me feel comfortable before, during, and after my massage. After a long, cold day of skiing, this was a blissful relaxation that I would highly recommend. Right off the lake trail in the heart of Tahoe City, the location was easy to get to as well. I booked a 90-minute massage at Sage Spa and it was truly the best massage I have ever received. The spa is nestled in the hillside of a shopping plaza right off of the main road and there was ample complimentary parking – this is great since the street can be so congested. When I walked in the spa, I was warmly welcomed by Wendy. The lobby of the spa featured beautify crafted artisan jewelry, DIY bath salts bar, essential oils and locally made craft items. I was offered a glass of cool water before my massage, which was a nice touch. The space is quaint, which I prefer over the hustle and bustle of a larger spa. Wendy asked if I had any problem areas. I let he know my wrists and SI joint were bothering me. She took her time in these areas and gently removed the strains in both places. The ambient music was serene and I relaxed immediately once Wendy began the massage because I could tell she was an experienced masseuse based on her handling and techniques,. Because I was able to relax and trust her, I received the best massage ever – I’m 45-years old and have had my fair share of massages, so I know what I’m talking about. I joked with Wendy that I couldn’t become a regular because Cincinnati, Ohio was too far to travel for a regular appointment! I do know when I travel back to Tahoe, I will be booking another massage, or even a facial with her. It is nice to know that when you travel, you have a trusted spa you can go to to relax in. Trust me, get your massage here when you in Tahoe – you won’t regret it!

Got a massage as a gift for my birthday and Wendy was amazing! Be sure to check out her new space, complete with an amazing lake view. She also has excellent teas, jewelry, make-your-own lotions, etc. Also hosts regular classes relating to making herbal tinctures/salves, cooking, etc. Truly a hidden gem in Tahoe City.

Happened upon adorable SAGE, just down from the main road in Tahoe City. What a gem, turns out it not only had a wonderful selection of herbs, gifts and essential oils, but it was like a sweet little oasis on the lake, the feeling of tranquility, the scents…make your own sugar scrubs and bath salts bar. The owner, Wendy, is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to natural healing, and offers a number of treatments, including facials and massage. I made an appointment for both and truly experienced bliss with her nurturing touch. A must if you are in Tahoe!
