Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueWe just moved here and I had a hard time deciding where to go. I’m glad I went to Rustic Salon! I had Morgan as my stylist and she did a great job. It was laid back and she was a great conversationalist. This will be my go-to spot while we live in Ankeny. Highly recommend!

Critical: Quality, ValueWent and had my hair dyed blue and purple hombre with the top left dark. It was a long process and since it required a full bleach and 3 different colors being added to my hair, it was pricey. I didn’t have a problem with any of this. The problem came the next day when my entire neck was blue and so was the top of my shirt. The color was bleeding. I hadn’t even washed my hair since leaving the salon. I ended up washing it, in cold water, using their products, and it didn’t matter. The color was all over me, my clothes, my pillow, my hands. I went back in and they said they had never seen that before and weren’t sure what was causing it. They cleaned up my neck and basically told me to just watch and see if it continues. It did, so I called back. This time I was told to wash my hair in vinegar to “set” the color. At this point, it had been months, shouldn’t the color have set by then. I was never given a reason as to why this happened, never given any sort of help to see if they could stop the bleeding. Heck, even have them offer to just completely strip the color out would have been helpful as, at least, I wouldn’t have been a smurf. This was last October, and the color that’s left still bleeds a little. It’s not as bad as it was, but it shouldn’t still be happening.
