Runs with Scissors is the best locally owned hair salon and barber shop in Milledgeville. We specialize in men, women, and children so bring the whole family. We cut, color, perm, wax, and even do lashes. We are currently relocating and will be closed for, hopefully, no more than two months. They have gained a foreva client Thanks to owner Kelly I was able to get a last minute walk-in cut on Saturday evening too! Kelly and her team told jokes, the atmosphere was relaxing. She did a GREAT job! They are very reasonably priced. (TIP HER!!!)

Saturday around noon, only one stylist here. People backed up waiting. She is more concerned with talking than cutting hair. Haircut was okay, but I refused a beard trim and she kept on and on about doing it until eventually starting without my permission. If you’re in a hurry, don’t even think about it. Since they are closed often you’d figure they would have people here on a Saturday….

We were seeking boxer braids kinda last minute, but with plenty of time for quality work, and they were the only ones locally willing to do it. They had amazing personalities and great customer service. However, the quality of the braid was less than satisfactory. Which is why I am only giving it 3 stars. For 25$ for a braid I expected them to hold longer than an hour.

I started going here not too long ago and not only do they give the best haircuts but they treat you like family! The person that cuts my hair is Taylor and she is very nice and fun to talk to! She’s very hard working along with the other employees and even after cutting tons of people’s hair Taylor always has a smile on her face and keeps an upbeat mood throughout the time I’m there with every customer! Thank her for me for being the best barber I’ve ever had in my life and now a very good friend!

Critical: ProfessionalismI used to go here all the time so I went again and got my hair wash, dried, and straightened the washing and drying was perfectly fine but the straightening I should have just done at home I was there for an hour and a half and you can’t even tell I got my hair straightened. She said it was because I have dead ends but I have pictures from like a week ago when I straightened it at home and it was actually straight. I paid $45 basically to get my hair washed and dried.
