My experience started off pleasant, they were very friendly and sat me right away. I got a dip/powder manicure and I was very disappointed. They filed my nails after the manicure was over and because they couldn’t see my nail, they filed well past my nail and into my skin, leaving the tips of my fingers raw and exposed. They also missed the side edges of my nails completely and had to go over it with 2 coats of gel, so now I have a really thick layer on all of my nails. I ended up taking tools and a nail file and finishing the manicure myself. I can’t speak to gel or a regular mani, but I definitely wouldn’t go back for dip/powder. Updated to show the scabs on my cuticles a few days later.

Normally I love Ruby’s nails. However last time my sister and I visited we were disappointed. We both got acrylic nails as well as one pedicure service. It took them 2 hrs to finish our nails and experience was painful. My sister was bleeding from three of her fingers. My nails are misshapen and are already lifting after less than a week. 🙁 this place is going downhill.

I travel a long distance to Ruby Nails & Spa in the Palisades from Simi Valley, because there is no one as professional, or can compare to Ruby. Due to issues with ingrown toenails; where the pain can be extreme, when I let my pedicure go too long, I know that Ruby or Jennifer will correct the problem as expert as a podiatrist, and I will be pain free again.

Absolutely terrible! So unprofessional and mean! I called for an appointment, came in, was told to wait 3 mins, waited 15, was told to wait another 2 while they took walk ins before me all this time (probably their regulars) and all this time 0 communication, they just talk to each other in their language, bump into me without apologizing and didn’t even offer me water on a hot summer day while I was waiting for over 20 mins total! Had to leave since there’s 0 respect for customers and their time!!!!

Ruby goes out of her way for her customers and knows us on a personal level. During the pandemic, she would come over for house calls and brought her fantastic staff with her. She always goes the extra mile to make sure her customers are satisfied. She is always so appreciative of my business and makes sure I’m satisfied with my service. I’m a nail bitter, runner and have a lot of stress. Her staff always does a fantastic job, they give great massages and take care of my yucky feet! Critical: Professionalism, QualityNails were horrendous. I got them redone the day after at the same place by the owner ruby and they messed up again. I asked for coffin and they came out looking like an almond shape. The job they did on me was so disappointing. There was a hair stuck in the nails. Don’t recommend going here for the terrible acrylic nail job they did on not only me but my friend as well.
