The massage services at Royal Oaks salon and spa are tremendous! My massage was so very relaxing because Kendra has strong hands, and knows just the exact pressure necessary to release the tension in my muscles. Kendra is very thorough and knowledgeable about her skill. I highly recommend her and I personally will always ask for Kendra when scheduling a massage.

I came in to get my hair lightened from a previous hair dye job at a different salon. My hairstylist Jamie was very nice and was willing to get me in last minute. We agreed to do a clarifying shampoo to get the semi permanent dye out. Another stylist, Lauren suggested something else to Jamie without telling me first, using bleach, which is something I am not familiar with. I had a lot of questions due to the change of plans and me not being familiar with the lightening process. In response Lauren grabbed my face while Jamie was washing my hair and told me, “Stop asking questions, you don’t know what you’re talking about and it’ll turn out fine.” Granted I was anxious but it is not okay, nor professional to grab a client’s face. In fact, it is never okay to but your hands on anyone, let alone an unsuspecting client. My hair turned out good and Jamie did a good job with it, but I believe Lauren needs to work on customer service skills. It is my opinion that anyone else would benefit from going to a different salon than trying this one based on my experience.

I absolutely love this salon! It’s beautiful and well taken care of and the employees are always really friendly. I’ve been in for a massage multiple times as well as spray tans and a few other services. My services have always been great and the staff is professional and caring. I’d definitely recommend Royal Oaks Salon to anyone!

Seriously just had the best service with Taylor at Royal Oak Salon and Spa. I have really thick long blonde hair and he listened carefully to what I wanted and was super attentive to my needs. I got highlights and a blowout and it was fantastic and exactly the color I wanted. I highly recommend Royal Oak salon and spa and can’t wait to try all the other amenities they have to offer.

It was a very rushed experience and made my daughter in laws wedding day stressed out. The person she had an appointment with was late and had to have another stylist work on her look. The look was great but they ended up making her feel stressed and late for her ceremony and made her feel like the lateness was her fault when it wasn’t

Was leaving with my husband on Saturday so I came into the salon to get a body wrap and sugar scrub on Thursday, which would then be followed by a spray tan on Friday. After having the most horrific body wrap I’ve ever experienced (their heating element was barely warm in fact my feet were freezing the entire duration…. if you know anything about body wraps, high heat is essential!!), the salon then called me after I left and cancelled my spraytan leaving me no time whatsoever to find a place and reschedule prior to departing the country. Less learned, dont trust your special event to Royal Oaks because if you express concern with the quality of treatment you received, they will cancel your remaining treatments without just cause.

I was a customer of Royal Oak salon for about two years and I thought I had found my salon and my hair stylist (Rietta). I was so happy every time Rietta gave me a haircut, highlights or hair updos. I need to mention that I do have my own cosmetology license for over 25 years. So you should know what that means when I say Rietta was the best in my opinion as a professional in this field. But my happiness ended when I realized Rietta is not working there any more. I tried to be optimistic and I gave a chance to another employee (I cannot even call him beautician) for my highlight. It took him two hours to just put the chemical with aluminum wrap. Then he left me under the five arms heat lamp to speed up the process for more than 30 minutes. Suddenly I realized my scalp was burning so bad that I had to ask someone to call him and rush him to wash my hair. My hair was all in pieces and he kept washing them out (thinking I don’t know what is happening) not knowing I am aware of the damages he caused to my hair. If I was not professional, I could be bold now. I saved myself, and I’m never going back there. Unless Rietta comes back. My highlight was not even and the guy never apologized to me. With all that being said, the front desk lady was trying to give me a compliment which made me more angry. It is not about money I paid, it is about the trust that I have lost. I already told my two other friends that she is not there, so we are not going back. It seems like the owner doesn’t know what is happening to the customers. I was their client because of the service I was receiving from Rietta not for the $10 glass of wine or the chandeliers. When I pay over $200 for my hair I can afford to buy myself a glass of wine as well. It is so unfortunate that the best one in that salon is not there any more.
