Although our salon standing time in Tuesday-Saturday 10am- 6pm ,24/7 appointments are available when you book online. This availability was designed for our last working guest in mind. Always follow your first mind. I was looking to get braids for my beach trip. My hairstylist who is the best ever and not ghetto does not specialize in braids. I was skeptical of Royal Elan because it was on Jonesboro rd. Nothing against that area but it is somewhere I do not frequent. After several attempts my card wouldn’t go thru. First sign from God. And a few days of trying the card went thru. God trying to teach me to listen to Him. I read the reviews and went against my better judgement and made the appointment and the deposit for Saturday morning. Granted I did make the appointment mid Friday. Nikki called me after 10pm to say she was not able to do my hair. Of course I have a husband and I was already in bed. So I texted her early Saturday morning, she called me and was incoherent and fumbled that she couldn’t do the style, she was tired, she’s working on opening another business, and she’s not doing knotless braids , etc. Ok I understand. She sends like a nice lady, not professional but nice. So She canceled the appointment and offered her co worker. I asked her to have her co worker to contact me so we could arraign a time before I schedule. Mrs professional Nikki says I already told her to open her calendar just go shared and schedule. I hesitated but agreed and scheduled the time for 9:45am and received the confirmation. Well at 9:05am I get a schedule change for 10:15 then 10:30 well I’m almost at the salon. I’m patient and waited and just so happen I looked at my phone to see Mya changed the time again to 12:15. Unacceptable!!!!! Periodt I called Nikki and she said Mya was stuck in traffic and she would be there. Hell no I’m not your hostage. Then I asked her to just cancel because I have plans. She said not to be funny but we don’t care about what you have when you “schedule” an appointment. Well dang! Nikki said I will have to pay Mya something for gas cause she was coming for me. I agree only if I had made these changes or canceled and inconvenienced Mya. I’m not at your mercy ma’am, I’ma professional, college educated upper class lady. She then rambled some foolishness about the fine print on the site. Then she proceeds to become ghetto and rude and say she will get up and throw on clothes and get me prepped for Mya. To think you will get in my head after you displayed such rude behavior is simply past crazy. Black ladies please get some decorum and professionalism , own your part of the wrong and do better. I don’t normally write book reports because I’m past school but this was worthy of a review. My prayer is for these ladies to get clients that are better than me, be blessed with an abundance of prosperity and great health. This wasn’t for me but I’m sure others will be happy with their service. All the best!!!!
