It is hard to find a stylist that will tolerate me in a professional manner and still look forward to my visits (at least I think Amber Filewitz @ Rouge Hair Boutique looks forward to my visits). I have been going to Amber for 10+ years. Honestly, she is the first stylist that does exactly what I ask her to do. If I say take off and inch, she will do just that. I have had stylists in the past that did “WHAT THEY THOUGHT I NEEDED” instead of what I requested. Don’t get me wrong, Amber will suggest what she thinks is best and allows me to decide the outcome. I am dirty blond (and getting darker each year) with heavy gray around my hairline. I get a touch up to cover the gray, highlights, a cut and blow dry each visit. Since I do not like highlights and touch up to be applied at the same time, Amber takes the time to do each service separate, so I don’t look too dark for my liking. She has expert knowledge of color and is always up-to-date on the latest cuts and styles. Amber is everything you want and need in a stylist. She also does the most amazing up-dos. Lastly, I owe the health of my hair to Amber as well. She recommended Olaplex several years ago and uses the same products at the salon. My hair has never felt so healthy, even with the highlights. If you are looking for a new stylist, Amber gets a 10 star rating from me.
