Roya is very good, no too social, strictly business, which was fine by me. Speak to her directly to book. Other workers twice messed up my appointments. It’s a mainly Spanish speaking business. Tv channels tuned to Spanish channels and several fliers and brochures are written in Spanish. Nothing wrong with that, just be prepared is all, because I wasn’t. Roya was a few minutes late but that didn’t matter. Her technique was good. The room was a bit too small for me. She uses a kitchen timer to set the hour. Not too talkative, so you have to tell her if she’s putting to much pressure on your muscles because she won’t ask you. Went there on a groupon but probably won’t go again. Too much competition out there to ignore .

Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI bought the groupon that was $64 for highlights and haircut and decided to buy it. Once I arrived, the whole store was run down and unclean but I ignored that. Immediately felt unwanted the second I walked in, Rosy was very hostile and there was no hospitality and she had terrible customer service. There was one other person in the store so I should’ve known. The store was messy and dirty looking. Rosy said that i’d have to pay an extra $20 and I said okay and she took me to the chair. Everything was unorganized and unprofessional. I felt the urge to get up and leave before she could touch my hair but I didn’t want to be rude. She tied the black cover a little too tight around my neck and never asked if it was alright. She then told me to comb my own hair. She started to highlight my hair. Her method was rushed and sloppy and I had a bad feeling. Then she fried my hair with the head heater, she made me sit with the heater over my head for about 10-15 minutes and I was sweating and it was very hard to breathe. She was sitting in the chairs on her phone and then brought me over to the hair wash station. The chair and sink was moldy and dirty I can’t believe I even sat down. She was very rough with my hair when washing it and then sat me down. When I saw my hair in the mirror it was tangly and brassy and looked worse than before. She did not use toner or even out the highlights. She said to finish it would be an extra $200 dollars. She then made me brush my tangled hair out again. Usually their shampoo is supposed to make your hair soft but my hair was crispy and very tangled. I asked for a trim and she almost cut three inches off after I told her 1/2 an inch but I stopped her. She trimmed my hair in under 5 minutes. She then proceeded to blow dry my hair very roughly. She was rushing and didn’t even blow dry it nicely. When she finished, my hair looked TERRIBLE. I hated it. It was uneven, brassy, the roots where uneven and showing. My hair was frizzy and crispy and fried when I went to touch it, it felt very hard and rubbery. I could’ve done better if I did it myself. She tried to hide the uneven roots at the end by parting my hair and then said “done.” Huge language barrier as well. The hair brushed she used for my hair were dirty and used. She did that whole process in about an hour and my hair felt and looked damaged. I should’ve know from the start when she told me that she will “try” to highlight it despite the uneven mess. I was confused? It is her career to do these things but I feel like she has no experience with hair. There’s no way she went to hair school and practice it. Rosy then charged me and asked for tip even though she didn’t deserve one. She told me. was not allowed to use a groupon again and told me to come back and pay to fix the rest. I was absolutely disgusted by the service and would never go there again. I have to go to another salon to get my hair fixed and there’s a possibility I may not be able to dye it blonde again because of the damage she has caused to my hair. I might have the go brunette. Will never recommend to anyone. Terrible services. Uncleanliness. I hate the results and already spend so much on it. Please do not go here you will 100% regret it. If you have gone to mid-high end salons then this is going to feel like an extremely unprofessional experience. I have been there 3 times and two of those times the stylist was late (both times it was the owner). The last time I had to wait almost an hour and another stylist ended up showing up early and doing the work.

After 4 years of living here, I finaly decided to go to a hair salon, so I bought a Groupon for a full highlights with a haircut and I have to say that I’m very happy with the results. Considering that I’m very picky and jealous with my hair. Martha treats me very professional and she was very patient with me. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely come back soon.

I purchased the $64 Groupon package for a haircut and highlights. When I arrived, a lady came and I told her I had an appointment and a groupon and she told me that she won’t be able to honor it because she’s has “seen my face” before and she thinks I used their services before. I was leftover speechless at this accusation, since This was my first time in this salon; also she accepted my scheduling of the appointment and took down my name and now I was being refused the service without even being asked to show an ID. After trying to prove to her that I was a new customer, she said “fine, but it will be $20 extra because your haircut isn’t below your shoulders”. I said ok. Then she’s started working on another customer and I just sat there, without any acknowledgement. After asking her a few times when she would start working on me, she kept repeating that I would have to pay extra. Her tone and attitude in general made me feel unwelcome and deceived. I left, because I didn’t want someone with such negatives vibes working on them hair, especially since I wasn’t getting reassured that I wouldn’t even get the service. This was a very disappointing experience and I regret having driven this far for it.

So there were 2 ladies when took my sister here as a birthday gift, one worked on my hair while the other worked on my sister’s hair. My hair turned out okay but my sister’s hair was a mess. While Wthe lady was highlighting my sisters hair, my sister kept saying that she wanted it lighter– the lady kept brushing all of her concerns aside. The end result was blackbhair with ginger highlights and all of her hair had broken off from the front We had to end up going to a different salon afterwards to get her hair fixed.

Don’t go here, they have Groupon for a reason. I called to reschedule an appointment or see if I could do part of my hair that day due to a Groupon I had. However, I immediately got someone huffing and puffing because I messed up her schedule and she was going to charge me and because of me she had to cancel other appointments. Due to temporary bank issues, and the hair style of choice I decided my Groupon may not be enough to pay the bill. I called right when they opened about a 2 pm appointment. I would have discussed options but instead I got yelled at. I have never called a salon to have such an attitude with customers. She never asked is there anything else we could do or even discuss.

Rosy’s is not a fancy, upscale salon that you pay too much for because they are in a high rent mall or location. The customer service is great, the location is easy access off Route 50 off 28, and I get a great cut at a fair price every time. They speak Spanish and English here, and they have a small town barber/salon feel.

I had a very negative experience from the time I walked in, until the time I walked out! I felt that Rosy was rushing through out the whole process. She used 2 tubes of hair product and still left red hairs, she left hair dye by my ears and forehead. Was aggressive and nasty with her staff. She only cares about $$$$. I do not recommend this place at all!
