I went to Roots Hair Salon Yesterday and had a wonderful haircut with Theresa. She was attentive and asked questions regarding my desired hair style. This was the only hair salon I have been to in Chicago where I did not feel like the stylist rushed my haircut. I noticed other stylists being very attentive with their clients as well and not rushing their services, which is a rarity.

I have been going to Roots for the last 5 years. This is the first place I’ve gone where stylists really listen! I have never had such consistent great service! The salon is clean and everyone is very professional. I usually see Kariman, but I’ve worked with other stylists as well. Kariman is great about explaining options and taking the time to understand your vision!

Ms. Ashanti takes care of my daughter’s hair. She is pleasent, professional and does a good job creating the styles my daughter wants. The shop isn’t crowded with people waiting and it has always been a nice calm atmosphere.

This was my first time at the shop and let me say they do great work! The shop itself is beautiful and has a relax vibe. Ms.Kariman did a fanastic job shaving and coloring my hair and Ms.Thearsea (sorry if I spelled that wrong ) did an excellent job styling my hair. The price was very reasonable and fair and would highly recommend this shop. Thank you so much again!!

The owner opened up the store for me on a Sunday and personally did my cut and color herself. We chatted about cooking and family and she slayed my color. I went from a yellowing, grown out bleach blonde with damage, to a warm light brown that will allow me to grown my hair out. She really took her time highlighting my roots before applying the toner so it would blend nicely with my natural color. And spent lots of time perfecting the cut. On top of the amazing service, she gave me a fantastic price, and even a discount on some Aveda shampoo and conditioner which has already made my hair feel so much healthier. I havent been to the same salon twice since ive moved to chicago, but after going to Roots, I won’t go anywhere else from now on.

Roots is one of the best salons in the city. It has a super trendy location, smells amazing and is always extremely clean. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. There is one stylist named Keli who is excellent at trendy cuts and color. She is also hilarious and in a sketch group called Hi Betty! The salon offers a variety of unique quality products including makeup (lip gloss to die for). Roots is the JAM!
