I really wanted to love this place, i really did! My hairstylist was so kind and the atmosphere of the salon is amazing. However, I wanted a full blonde highlight and my hairstylist, Kourtney decided to do a partial. No big deal. First issue is the length of time I was there. My appointment was at 10 am, and I didn’t even leave the salon until nearly 3 in the afternoon! I’ve had lots of hair appointments in my life and I’ve NEVER had it last past 2 hours. I could excuse that if my hair looked any different leaving the salon! Nearly 5 hours and my hair looks the same if not worse than before. Attached are photos, the photo taken outside is the before, photo taken in the mirror is after. I also found a weird bleach streak across the top of my head that is hideous and many people have commented on. Another thing, it was 300 dollars! 300 dollars for my hair to look exactly the same? In my opinion this is not a 300 dollar hair dye. The booking website said 200. Maybe this was an off day for the stylist, but I wish her off day didn’t cost me 300 dollars for mediocre hair.

Syd was so personable and she immediately made me feel comfortable, the wash was super relaxing and she shaped my hair exactly how I wanted, she basically read my mind when it came to shape and length. Sara is a goddess, I’ve been with her for at least 4 years. My hair is curly with different curls texture, thin shaft, Very sensitive to weather and complicated. I’ve had other hairstylists in roots collective and other salons yet no one gets my hair like Sara. My hair grows healthy and strong anytime she cuts it, style it in anyways. She is the sweetest person ever and make sure you to do what you want and make you feel comfortable. The best ever, I’ll never let anyone cut my curls but her. If you have a curly hair and not sure how to take care of it or style it, I highly recommend going to Sara. She literally read my mind and do everything possible to make sure to cut my hair as I wanted. She cuts in low maintenance so I can take care of it at home and not have to go a salon each couple of weeks

I have been looking for a place to get my hair done in Lincoln for the last 6 years. I am an anxious person so I always worry about the space and how the stylists will treat me, but I absolutely loved Roots Collective! The environment is so chill, the aesthetic there is beautiful and feels calming, and the stylists are very welcoming and personable! Syd did such a lovely job as she made me feel comfortable right away and checked in to make sure we were on the same page. This is where I’ll be coming to get my hair done for now on!

Not to happy with the service signed up for a clipper cut /haircut the website says 30.00 was charged 75.00 and was to get a wash and style with the cut and did not receive either of those did not see the charge until I received the receipt to my phone. The haircut I received should’ve only been 30. Don’t get me wrong the stylist was nice but didn’t give the haircut I wanted and the way she cut I’m not able to style it at this point. Will not be going back.
