I started going to Roots and Branches last summer when I moved to the River Market! I always go to Rachel and my hair has gotten SO MUCH healthier. She always listens to exactly what I want and it always ends up looking even better than I expected. I seriously can’t say enough great things about Rachel, Roots and Branches, and their products! Rachel has been awesome with recommendations and my hair is much happier!!! I box dyed my blonde hair brown 2 years ago and it has been quite the journey, but Rachel has been so helpful with growing my hair back out!

I debated posting this review because I never post bad reviews about salons but if it can help someone…. I went to get my hair glossed and cut a week before my wedding because of all the great reviews this salon has. Rachel was nice but does not know how to cut thick wavy hair. I asked for a simple long bob with a couple layers. When I left the salon my hair was a frizzy mess and I could not tell how bad the cut was until I went home and washed and restyled it. It was there I noticed just how uneven and lopsided my hair was. There were way too many layers and when she “thinned” my hair it ended up looking like thin dead ends on the bottom. I also debated going back to have it fixed but the only way to fix the thin ends would have been to cut it way shorter than I wanted. I would recommend making sure you go to a stylist that has experience with all types of hair. Attached is what I asked for vs what I got.

I’ve gone to Rachel ever since she started there and I’ve never been disappointed! I’m very dark naturally and I had wanted to add blonde in my hair for a long time, but I was too afraid of frying it! Rachel takes her time to listen to what I want, look at pictures, and discuss with me the reality of what she can get my hair to look like without damaging it. I love where my hair is at right now because of her! Pictures are from my most recent appointment.

She took her time and my highlights came out great! Very happy with my color and cut. She was so easy to talk to as well. We talked a lot! So glad I gave this salon a try.

This was my first visit. After much frustration trying to find a stylist, a coworker recommended this salon. I booked an appointment with Mollie. From the moment we started, she listened to me, assessed my hair and inspiration photos, and made recommendations. She did such an amazing job! It was a great experience all around. I had to write a review. I’m walking around happy after a cut for the first time in years.

What a cutie place in the City Market. I only popped in because of the fun window display. Lots of unique home decor finds. The owner was super sweet and helped my friend get some new hair product. I’m down at the Market area a lot, will definitely stop in again!
