Micayla at Root is by far my favorite stylist I’ve ever worked with!! I have curly hair, and a previous stylist at another salon recently gave me a cut that grew out into incredibly uneven layers. After over a year of quarantine I finally decided to rejoin society (after I was vaxxed of course) and get my hair done. I saw Mykel at Root Salon in Wayzata. She knew it was my first time back to the salon and asked me throughout the appointment if I was doing ok because I had shared I was anxious. Besides the fact that she was/is incredibly kind and sensitive to my needs, it’s the best hair cut and color I’ve had in many MANY years. I can’t wait to go back. Thanks Mykel!

Mindy is amazing, she is so talented. She cuts and colors my hair perfectly every time and has a great personality. I am a stylist myself and I am very picky and can’t fault her. I love having a chat with her while I spend a few hours in her chair. This location is so lovely and quaint as well. Highly recommend.

Mindy did my hair today and I couldn’t be happier. She is very friendly, pleasant and makes sure you are comfortable. She gave me the color I was looking for and a beautiful blowout afterwards. I have already received compliments. Oh, and they have the most comfortable shampoo bowls (I have a painful neck condition so I know!). I would highly recommend Mindy at Root Wayzata.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality@root_salons is having a photo contest so thought i would share my experience! My hair was absolutely destroyed after my visit. Foils were in my hair for over 2 hours. I was left with my hair so damaged it started falling out in clumps. Management was extremely rude and did very little to help fix the situation. It look several hoops to jump through to get a free haircut to help even it up and 1 round of conditioning that hardly helped.@root_salons is having a photo contest so thought i would share my experience! Love this place. The people are great. Jim, the owner, really knows his stuff. I have been following him for more then twenty years and so glad that he opened a salon on my end of town. Give it a try, you won’t go wrong.
