On the first visit, Betty, from Roman skin care, looked at my daughter’s skin and started trying products that helped her face heal. I’ve been a client of Betty’s since the 90s and have used all sorts of her services. I started with waxing, then added body scrubs, massages, and facials. The facials are wonderful! I purchase the series package which is a nice option to maintain costs and keep you on schedule with regular appointments that really benefit your skin. I am an older gentleman who was sent to Betty by a lady friend. Not sure at first I have been amazed at the results. My skin feels and looks better than I can remember after only a few treatments. I am constantly being asked what have I done as I look so much younger and healthier to other people. The treatments are so soothing and enjoyable and Betty obviously has a lot of experience as her touch is like she is massaging me. She has also helped me with home products to use that further the health of my skin. Once a skeptic I am now a firm believer in the health benefits of these treatments. Critical: QualityBased on a recommendation, I came to this spa. The owner called me before my scheduled appointment and despite chatting for almost twenty minutes regarding COVID protocols, failed to mention that I should drink a large amount of water before my appointment. When I showed up on the day, this was mentioned to me only at that time, and when I seemed shocked by that detail, the owner became very defensive. I had to drink water on the spot as a result. Only after drinking approximately 1-2 liters of water, I found the cup that they were serving the water out of had black mold all around the inside. After my appointment, the owner tried to sell me on some creams that were “not expensive” ($100+ for a small bottle) and was quite pushy about it. She also attempted to sell me another treatment package (again, pushy… uncomfortably so) and quoted me a figure for which the math did not add up. When I inquired on the cost per treatment (the bundling of them was supposed to provide a discount) and showed the very basic math, the owner was put off and said she’d need to get back to me on pricing. This spa acts like it’s trying to be upscale (labeling the restroom a “toilette”) but only comes off as trying too hard and the way things are run are pretentious. The spa is nothing to get excited about when there are so many other better spas in the area.
