The only helpful and sensitive person was the assistant. I can only ask the doctor never to forget that a patient is someone who does not feel well and needs help, the minimum that the doctor should provide is empathy and kindness, but Dr. Chirinos seems to have forgotten the essence of his profession

The nurse was nice but seemed displeased I did not want to make small talk. Doctor Chirinos was cold and he did not seem to care about my concerns at all. No bedside manner. We literally talked for a minimal amount and then he just wrote a bunch of prescriptions and then said “I’ll see you in 6 weeks.” There was no discussion about my symptoms, short or long term goals. Then I go to pick up the prescriptions and they’re crazy expensive even with insurance. That’s important to communicate to clients. I’ll likely be following up elsewhere.

I had an AWESOME experience. No seriously, let me explain. I had a bump on my back for years that was very small and skin colored and there was no pain so I never got it checked. Out of nowhere, it got inflamed and within three days it quadrupled in size and was SO painful. My doctor couldn’t get me in for weeks so I went to the hospital hoping they could “pop” it or remove it and they prescribed me antibiotics and sent me on my way in pain and said hopefully it goes down enough to deal with it. I called six dermatologists and no one could get me in, finally Dr. Chirino’s office said “we can get you in within three hours” after I explained the pain. I got in immediately with like five minutes wait time and within a few minutes of being back there the doctor explained what it was (an infected cyst) and I laid down as he cut the cyst after numbing, drained it, and removed the whole ‘sack.’ He packed it and advised how to care for it and I’ve been back a few times for follow ups. He was very quick, very efficient and I didn’t leave with any questions, just relief. Highly recommended!
