Growing up as a cosmetologist’s kid and seeing first hand the entrepreneurial journey within the hair industry, I was nothing short of nervous when I moved away from home and had to find a new hair dresser. My Dad was the only person to EVER do my hair and I just assumed that finding a new hair dresser that I was comfortable with was going to be a tall task. Soon after, my great friend from college recommended me to go see Alex at Rodney Barnes who just so happened to rock a super dope short haircut. The moment I walked in, I knew it was the place to be. The environment was extremely professional, spotless, and everyone was so friendly, not to mention the owner was a male, just like my Dad for over 30 years! Alex, my stylist, was personable and I felt like I already knew her! Even now as a regular client, Alex continues to make me feel comfortable, and she has no problem educating me throughout the process when I have questions during appointments. Mr. Rodney is an excellent leader in the industry and his entire team is consistent and top notch. Looking for good vibes, good tunes, consistency, and oh yea, an excellent ‘hairdo’? Growing up as a cosmetologist’s kid and seeing first hand the entrepreneurial journey within the hair industry, I was nothing short of nervous when I moved away from home and had to find a new hair dresser. I went to Rodney’s Salon based on these reviews and he and the staff did not disappoint. In fact, they will have a lifelong client! I went to him for a relaxer, which I hadn’t had in years. He was professional, patient and meticulous to ensure the end result would be amazing. My hair has NEVER felt this incredible. It has body, shine, no breakage, and so much movement.
