I’m in town only for a few weeks and googled where I could get a good men’s haircut. The Rockford did not disappoint. It has a really cool ambiance and great people working there. Missy gave me an awesome cut and was super attentive. I left feeling like a million bucks–worth every penny, and 12/10 would go back.

I’ve had great experiences in the past. I may be back in the future. My reason for three stars is the lack of customer service regarding the initial effort when setting my appointment. I feel that the person booking your appointment should either make clear the difference in time required to do both a haircut and a beard trim rather than just a haircut. At the very least ask if I will require any other service as well as the haircut. I was not able to get a beard trim after already sitting down in their chair due to the fact she had an appointment directly after me and didn’t have time, so I left with what one might call only half of a cut. I understand I carry some of the fault in this situation, but I have never had this issue in the past with any barber. I’m not leaving this to discourage any customers from going here, I have had cuts from 4 different girls here and all of them did a great job. This review is more so for ownership to consider refining their process so this doesn’t happen to somebody else.

Best spot for a men’s haircut or beard trim in town. Every stylist is great and always fun to talk to. Get a good KC craft beer or a glass of smooth whiskey and enjoy being transformed into the best looking version of yourself. If you’re lucky, Turtle will be there to give you the latest neighborhood gossip .

I have followed Morgan from chop tops, to Rockford. And let me tell ya, she does not disappoint, her service does not disappoint and neither does the amenities of the Rockford. Gotta love a complimentary Drank. The music and atmosphere are so chill. and if your lucky, you get a visit from the neighbor cat, Turtle.

This is more than a place to get a haircut. It is an experience, from the complementary drink, to the good music and chill atmosphere. Kat cuts my hair, and is always super friendly and fun to talk to. When I leave I feel confident that no hair is out of place because of the attention to detail.

Didn’t answer the phone that is listed multiple times during a weekday. Ultimately I looked up Chop Tops at the same location and was able to book for the same day. When I went in I learned both shops are related but I still wasn’t sure how. If you are interested in Rockford look up Top Chops and you’ll have better luck.

Great place. A nice upscale hair cutting experience. I love that they offer a wisky or beer ( actual good beer ) with your haircut. Really cool atmosphere and a relaxing experience on top of a great cut and shampoo.
