Today was my first time at Rock nails and I’m super happy with how my nails turned out. Feifei did a great job! It was more affordable than the place I was going to and the quality so far is better. I paid $66 for a gel fill in, two nail repairs, and floral designs on four nails total. They look so cute! Hopefully they last longer than the set I got at my last salon.

I visited this salon for the first time; I was the last appointment of the evening for the nail tech I saw and was seen 20 minutes late due to appointments prior to me running over. I totally understand a schedule that gets out of hand, that happens! However, my nail tech ran over to me and hurried me to my seat when my time came. My nails needed some extra care, as I had several nails broken from a prior manicure. When I tell you, this was the fastest manicure I’ve ever had. I told her shortly after she started, she’s going lightening fast! She did not slow down at all and the entire process was rushed. Of course, I understand everyone has a rough day or may be dealing with things out of their control, but I recommend that no matter the scenario, the tech should take time and care to complete the service. Additionally, the gel is not sculpted evenly, making my nails look unnatural and misshapen. Not worth the 50 dollars.

Had a great experience at Rock. I was greeted immediately after entering the salon and my wait was short. The Salon has a large selection of colors & options for designs. Critical: Quality, ValueI really wanted to love this place because I have been trying to find a place down here. First I must say Rock Nails was very clean and beautifully decorated. Secondly the people were very professional and very nice.Unfortunately the quality of work was way below then what I am used to in North/central Jersey. My Nails were filed in all different directions and the sns was applied way too thick and messy. The price was $47 not including tip. Which is not bad for a great quality and nice job sns set, but this was NOT it. I usually see coco at rock nails for gel mani gel pedi! She is great and so sweet! I also love when they come around and ask for a neck/back massage while getting nails done! I’m giving 2 stars because they did accommodate me even though my online appointment never went through. I went in and got a gel manicure at 10AM and by 1:30PM this is what it looked like. The polish was just plopped on there and obviously not cured long enough. The manicure felt rushed which I just assumed was because I was just given whoever was available. They did at least offer to fix it for me but I only had time that morning to get my nails done so I will soak them off myself and get them redone elsewhere.

I never feel like I belong there. I’ve been to the establishment several times, and every time I’m in a chair there, I feel “tolerated” at best. I’ve gotten 4 or 5 pedicures and once they realize I’m “only” getting a classic, it’s like they can’t be bothered with me. Additionally, no matter who I book with, I always end up with the same guy who does a mediocre job and the polish starts chipping off less than 10 days later. Today, the receptionist checking me out was SO rude! She couldn’t even hand me my card back. I had my hand out to take it back and without even looking at me, she threw it onto the counter, then shoved a receipt at me to sign. I don’t think I’m going to be back. I am definitely searching for somewhere new, where they will maybe treat me like a customer that matters. I will give them that the place is pretty clean and I can always get in, but that’s where the positives end for me.
