This is serious body work for clients who take their health seriously. Heather Piper is a consummate professional, and she tailors each session to your specific needs. I’m a member of the USA Taekwondo National Team, so my problems change from month to month: neck, shoulder, lower back, hamstrings, hip flexors, and so on. And Heather does an amazing job of figuring out what the cause of the problem is, and then she fixes it using any of numerous effective techniques. I’m convinced that she knows as much about anatomy as your average orthopedic surgeon; she knows how the body works, and she’s always learning more. If you’ve been using one of the giant massage chains, you will not recognize the world according to River Bend. Instead of working with a therapist who may be brand new to the business, you’re working with the owner and sole massage therapist. And instead of getting 50 minutes, if you’re lucky, at the mega-chain, at River Bend you’ll get a full one hour for the same price. Actually the price may be lower, since you can buy five massages for the price of four. And you have one year in which to use them. If you live in the area, this is the massage place for you. If you’re just visiting Kennebunk, call ahead and schedule a couple of massages. River Bend Therapeutic Massage will be one more great reason you’ll want to keep coming back to Maine.
