I absolutely love Rio Body Wax! Nadesia is the BEST. Her personality is truly fabulous and she made me feel so at ease the whole time she was working on my Brazilian. She even gave me great advice about the services I actually needed and ended up saving me a good bit of money in the process. If that’s not a sign of a great esthetician who just enjoys what she does (and does it well), then I don’t know what is. I asked for some additional recommendations for ingrown hairs and bumps, because my skin is so sensitive sometimes, and she wrote down three products for me to try based on her experience. Girl, you rock! Keep up the amazing work.

This was the worst. I mean worst experience i have ever had in the 15 years that i have been getting waxed. I live in both sc and nc and i haven’t been to Rio in a while. I’m 9 months pregnant and needed to make sure i was clean and clear and found out the downtown location is no longer downtown, it’s on Haywood rd. So I booked for whoever was available. Ive always enjoyed waxing, pregnant or not. But this lady who waxed me, her name is Celina. I’m not sure if she was mad because i asked her to put on a mask. But her nose was dripping. So yes please put one on. I’ve never, i mean never had anyone put wax on and take it off like that ever. I got there at 3, signed in, used the bathroom, got undressed, she did my Brazilian and my underarms, i got back dressed, talk to the lady up front, paid and i was back in the car by 3:17. She literally ripped the hair from me and it was longer because i missed December wax. It had been 2 months. While she ripped the hair, at one point she looked at me and said very nasty, you need to relax or i can’t get to it. I didn’t say anything, she asked when my last time was. I informed her, she said hmph, and continued to very harshly put the wax and rip the wax off. What’s crazy is she did no clean up. I still have hair on my girl, when she did my crack, she didn’t do it. The hair is still there. Then she did my arms and said no exercise for 24 hours, have a good weekend and left the room. Not only have i never had a wax like that, i have never had anyone treat me like im nothing or speak to me like that. My last pregnancy i got my wax done on my due date and had no issues. I’ve never been bruised. This lady, really young girl not only bruised me but she didn’t get all the hair. I was so mad i couldn’t say anything. When i went out to speak with the lady at the front. She just started at me and didn’t even apologize for my experience. I’m going to be resting soon and i will have a lot of time to deal with this issue since they expect you to pay to be treated like this. Horrible horrible. I would recommend you go somewhere better and more clean like the simpsonville location. I will never visit this location again and I’m telling everyone that will listen.

My cousin talked me into getting a Brazilian Wax for the first time & took me to Rio in simpsonville last Saturday(8/6) and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. It was so bad that I didn’t finish & left. Really wanting to stop shaving I decided to do some research by reading reviews & read the best reviews for the Haywood Rd location. I called & the receptionist was really sweet, & after telling her about my experience in simpsonville, she literally said “oh no ma’am I don’t like what I just heard & know exactly who to pair you with”! She asked if I could come today(8/8) at 4:15pm & of course I said yes. I was super nervous & almost backed out but I’m glad I didn’t. Nadesia was AMAZING! A whole vibe from personality to the way she handles your private. She walked me through everything & I couldn’t even focus on the pain because she had me laughing so much. Very knowledgeable & knows what she is doing! Because of her I will continue waxing & she Definitely earned a life time client!…Place was also very beautiful & clean.
