Best cut and shave of my life. I went on a Saturday morning and sat down at this old school barber shop. Sam was my barber. He meticulously cut my hair, paying attention to every detail. And then did the same with a straight razor shave. I’ve been to plenty of good barbers in my life, but nothing topped this experience.

I’ve been going to Richie’s for many years now. Richie usually cuts my hair, but when he’s off, Rafael cuts it. Both give great haircuts and know how I like my hair cut before I even sit down. They are always friendly and talkative (the whole staff is). Give a hot towel and massage at the end. Greet me on my way in and shake my hand and say thank you on the way out. I’ve never waited more than 10 minutes for a cut. Although the cost of the cut has gone up over the years, they are still absolutely worth the price and I will continue to come back. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good barber.

I hate to be the person to leave a bad review, yet I was literally butchered. For starters, I’ve been to this place well over 10 years now. Typically I went for a routine shape up once every other month, and as time went on and I got older it become once a month. I went in December, and received a cut that was extremely uneven, left side being way longer than the right. The front was over trimmed then I realized that the line on the back of my neck was crooked. At first I laughed it off and said whatever it’ll grow back. So I then go again yesterday and it was way worse than the first one in December. At this point, I was irritated after paying $40-38 to look like a clown when I can do that myself with a buzz cut in my bathroom.

Great barber shop. Both Richie and his brother Raf are masters of their profession. Nice guys and a nice shop. I brought my 3y/o and 18 month old and the guys handled them great and even though they were all over they still pulled off a good hair cut.

Awesome place to get a great haircut on the North Shore. Finally found a decent spot after moving from Bellmore. I tired it out since it is so close to where I live and really liked the result. I could not believe that Rafael already knows exactly how I want my hair cut whenever I go in there despite how many people are coming in every day! Also their attention to detail is second to none and they will make any minor changes you’d like without hesitation. 10 out of 10 and now it saves me the hassle of going to my old barber and getting a better cut at the same time.

Went to Richie’s for the 1st time Saturday 8/5/17 after patronizing a fancy Salon for years. You don’t need an appointment and the wait was less than 5 minutes. Raphael took good care of me and came away with a great cut (better than my old Salon), used a straight razor to cut my sideburns and neck, applied a hot towel and gave me a back massage. GREAT EXPERIENCE – This place is a DIAMOND in the ROUGH.
