Critical: ValueI don’t typically go to this barber shop, only out of convenience because it’s the closest ones to my house. My father has a unisex hair salon for 50 years, and due to his older age and unavailability, I go somewhere else.The store is a really nice store, the owner that’s near the front seems to be really nice. This review is less about those things and more about breakdown of communication resulting in a unhappy delivery of service.I’m 35 at the time of this post, I see clients in person and over video call who spend thousands of dollars a month in services, so I need to be somewhat presentable. I asked for a #2, and after doing it, The barber switched to a #1.5 without even telling me before that he was going to do it. I was told, “I did this cause it looks better” – it does not. I asked for a fade, he took the #1.5 all the way up to my top hairline, so now when I call my hair it looks like I have a mushroom undercut from the 90s. When the barber was presenting his work the the mirror, I proceeded to tell him that I specifically did not want my hair to fall the way he did and his response was, “it does do that, believe me, I’ve been doing this for 25 years”. Now I have to bring with me haircutting shears to my father while visiting him in rehabilitation to fix this mess.I am very disappointed to say the least and I am sad to say that I will not come here again. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueThe guys at Rich & Famous are consistently friendly. I came in without a appointment before going on vacation and Rich not only cut my hair but made me look great. One of the best barber shops on Long Island.Services: Haircut, Beard trim
