Silly Dilly
I will probably never come back here again. First, I’ll start off with some pros because, surprisingly this salon does have some. The store does have a lot of products with different ranges of hair type, product type, and methods of achieving texture. Where they wash your hair is VERY relaxing, quiet, and just an amazing area. After that head massage, I almost fell asleep. Definitely a holy grail. The waiting area is simple and you’re offered a drink from their menu. It’s nice! However, this is where it completely spiraled downhill for me. My request (along with pictures for reference) was for a haircut with long, face framing layers, a bang trim, and just a fix to the uneven layers. Almost nothing I asked of her was done. My bangs were only a fourth inch apart… and the stylist cut my bangs three inches. She laughed, made faces, and comments about my past stylist’s work on my uneven layers, however, I noticed she had done the exact same to me. As I was preparing my hair for curlers and brushing it, I found my layers were NOT the same length on either side. Also, they aren’t long layers… They’re incredibly small compared to what they should be. There’s also a huge gap between each layer since there are only two. I even asked her if she was adding another so it smooths out the very obvious cuts. Of course, she responded, “Sure,” and did not. The appointment was awful as it was filled with silence and me constantly asking if she’d do what I asked for. Midpoint, I began to tear up because oh my god… it’s awful! I then sat in the car, crying for 30 minutes in the parking lot. I think I might’ve cried when paying the bill and said the fastest no in my life when they asked if I wanted to schedule a new appointment. After all, I really didn’t expect to get such an awful cut for $40. I know what I asked for doesn’t look like this as it’s what I got only a few months ago. And this… isn’t it.

Love this place. Salons are stressful for me and I’m always a nervous wreck. Not here!!!! I feel comfortable, they talk me thru everything and don’t do a thing until I’m comfortable. All the girls are great but I see Gwen. My husband goes there for their products and he’s more uptight than I am. A new hair style or just in need for products, they got ya covered.

Devastated. Asked for long layers and gave the beautician a lot of hair to work with. She chopped all my long hair off and thinned the bottoms. Not at all what I requested and I even showed her 3 photos of what I wanted. I can’t even begin to explain how upset I am with my experience. I felt like the salon is reputable and professional but I am so unbelievably disappointed with the outcome. Will never go back and do not recommend.

UPDATE to the reply from the owner below: First off I sent my photos right away and to be exact it was on January 25th at 9:34am (went back to my sent inbox) so maybe you should take a look first before saying that I could of at least done that. Also, like I mentioned above I decided not to come in after making that appointment because I didn’t trust it even if someone with 30+ years was going to fix it. Also, replying and doing a follow-up via google review 10 months later doesn’t look to good either. Obviously no business is going to give a refund without seeing the problem that’s why I called and even sent my photos and did everything correct on my end but never heard back until now via google. If you want blonde hair, keep looking. I asked for balayage and got no where near that, it was orange, had blue in it as well and not to mention how bad the top of my head looked. With each shampoo it continued to turn more and more orange. I called to get a refund because I was sooo unhappy and cried the next day how bad it was. Called and spoke with the owner she was sorry and mentioned that the stylist that did my hair was “newer”. She offered to fix it and I was iffy about it but I still made the appointment. I then decided I didn’t want to go through with it because I just didn’t trust it and wanted my refund. I called and the receptionist said that the owner would call me back when she was finished with her meeting, never got that call back. Worst experience ever.

Jen is my stylist and she is great, she listens to what I am wanting and delivers, while adding in her own professional perspective. I’ve got to say, the owner is AWESOME! I got a haircut from one of the girls, it wasn’t really what I had asked for or wanted. Although I do have thick, difficult and at the time very damaged hair. They owner was alerted that I was unhappy. Showed her the picture of the cut I was expecting and she said she would fix it herself for me. She asked if she could just do her thing and just cut, I said go for it. I left more than happy, this might be the best haircut I’ve ever had!

The best overall experience I’ve had with getting my hair cut, period. Even if you are a man, if you want a great hair cut and a relaxing experience to boot, go. I’m not saying who my stylist is, because it’s hard enough getting an appointment with her as it is. Go, and you won’t be disappointed. They are all held to the same high standards
