Blepharoplasty
Blepharospasm is a neurologic disorder characterized by the involuntary contraction and squeezing of both eyelids. Mild symptoms can cause frustration and self-consciousness, but in more severe cases, the spasms restrict a patient’s ability to open his or her eyes. Hemifacial spasm affects the muscles on one side of the face, causing spasms and shaking.
Brow Lift
Correction of mild to moderate brow ptosis can be accomplished through incisions directly above the brows, in the forehead creases, along the hairline or endoscopically through incisions behind the hairline.Blepharoplasty will not elevate a drooping brow or remove wrinkles in the crow’s feet area. A procedure to elevate the brows may be appropriate, instead of, or in addition to upper eyelid blepharoplasty.
Cosmetic Injections
Facial fillers are a popular alternative in non-surgical facial rejuvenation. They are sometimes employed alone, but can also be an adjunct to Botox® or Xeomin®. They work by safely restoring lost volume under the skin thereby effacing wrinkles and emptiness from aging, most commonly at the lips and creases around the mouth. Drooping Eyelids
Ptosis, or drooping of the upper eyelid, can block the pupil and obstruct the upper field of vision – making it especially difficult to read or drive and making the individual appear sleepy. Many people with severe symptoms lift their eyelids with their fingers in order to see. Depending on its cause and severity, ptosis can be corrected by a variety of surgical procedures to lift the eyelid margin and lashes improving one’s visual field. These surgeries are usually performed on an outpatient basis in an ambulatory surgery center – with minimal pain and relatively quick healing. In cases where the eyelid margin covers the pupil insurance typically covers the repair procedure. Our specialists will thoroughly diagnosis your condition and recommend a treatment plan that works best for you and your lifestyle.
Eyelid Lesions & Skin Tags
Benign (noncancerous) eyelid and facial skin lesions include cysts, inflammatory lesions, vascular lesions, epithelial lesions, pre-malignant lesions and viral lesions present with a variety of symptoms and severity. These conditions typically occur on the lower lid or the adjacent face. Any new or changing sores that don’t heal should be evaluated, in some cases with a biopsy to confirm their benign status.
Eyelid Reconstruction
Defects of the eyelid, ranging from small to large and minor to major, are caused by a variety of conditions. These defects, usually caused by injury or the removal of skin cancer, typically occur on the lower lid or the adjacent face. Any new or changing sores that don’t heal should be evaluated. Early intervention is important to minimize the chance of eyelid skin cancer from returning and/or spreading to other parts of the body. Surgical eyelid reconstruction not only restores appearance but also preserves function.

Orbital Trauma
Your eyes are nestled in their orbits (eye sockets), cavities with bony walls that are thick and strong on the outside and front, and very thin at the bottom and near the nose. Falls, accidents and other trauma to the orbits can break the bony wall as diagnosed with a CT scan. Some fractures heal on their own, but those causing double vision or pain with eye movement require immediate diagnosis and treatment. Some orbital fractures can cause facial deformities and poor eye movement, as well as cause the eye to sink inward.
Orbital Tumor
Your eyes are nestled in their orbits (eye sockets), protective cavities that also house nerves, muscles, blood vessels and other tissues. An orbital tumor may arise in the orbit or spread from another area of the face. As the tumor grows larger, it may cause the eye to bulge and may affect eye movement. A biopsy will determine whether the tumor is benign (noncancerous) or malignant (cancerous).
