I had my two day FUE procedure about 11 months ago with Dr. Harris. I was nervous and excited going into it. Dr. Harris and his staff where amazing. I honestly can’t say enough about how comfortable they made me feel and how focused they were on doing an amazing job. His team was professional and really enjoyed their work. Dr. Harris personally called me to see how I was doing after the procedure. Things were explained so well that I didn’t have many questions when I started my recovery but when I did Dr. Harris responded quickly.

Dr. Harris was extremely helpful and made me feel completely comfortable with the procedure. The first few days were rough, but afterwards was totally worth it. My hair is naturally thin, but this helped even it out. I did the FUE procedure and had 2000 Grafts, 1000 on the crown and 1000 in the front. Really started noticing a difference about 4-5 months after the procedure and only got better from there.

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Harris as a gentleman, surgeon, and expert in hair restoration. He combines technical skill and an esthetic sense of what looks good for an individual. From the initial interview, Dr. Harris gave me an oversight in hair restoration, both medical and surgical, as it related to me personally. Then he presented what he can offer and what is realistic in expectations. This was clearly quite personalized based on my genetics, age and the current state of hair on my head. With the assistance of talented technicians and staff at Hair Sciences Center, Dr. Harris performed outstanding hair restoration surgical procedures. The end result is an actualization of the skill with which the procedures were carried out. I am pleased beyond expectations quite frankly. Dr Harris and his entire team met and exceeded my expectations in professionalism, service, empathy, and surgical excellence. I am an eye surgeon and I believe I have a unique insight into choosing an excellent surgeon for hair restoration. I researched the top doctors and those who had actually written peer reviewed literature on hair restoration. Having been involved in 38 clinical trials myself over the past 17 years as an eye surgeon, I know that publication of articles reflects that the surgeon is on the cutting edge of their field. Also, Dr Harris concentrates exclusively on hair restoration surgery. The general public may not know this, but in order to do hair restoration surgery, all you need is a medical license. No special training is required. Dr Harris completed a residency in otolaryngology (Ear, nose, and throat surgery) which includes extensive training in facial and scalp plastic surgery. I know that otolaryngology residencies are among the most competitive in medicine. You have to be really smart to get in. He went on to do specific training in hair restoration surgery. He led the way in development of the SAFE system, FUE, and the ARTAS robot. Additionally, he actually does most of the procedure himself. I interviewed other doctors and most only create the implant sites. And as a bonus, he actually has had hair restoration surgery himself. That way, I know he believes in what he is doing.

I had my consult last year before the merge with Restore in Chicago . Prices were $6 for ARTAS FUE with Dr. Lovitt. After following up late last year and early this year, I learned the prices jumped an extra $5/graft making the cost for my procedure +$15,000 more. When I asked Dr. Harris and explained my frustration (I felt like it was a greedy move to jack up the cost so much) he gave me 20% off of the new prices – still $9,000 more (ARTAS FUE) than it would have been in 2021. This increase was on top of an already expensive 100% out of pocket procedure. I also learned that unlike last year, you no longer can pick your doctor in advance. You just book the appointment and find out who your dr. Is 2 weeks prior. Dr. Harris eventually asked me to find another clinic. He seemed offended and a bit arrogant about the whole thing. Unfortunate change in business structure for those in the middle of the pricing increases and they have no consideration for how it feels on the customer side of this transaction. I’m sure they do great work but the business part of this doesn’t sit well with me.

Could not recommend Dr. Harris and his team any more strongly! I am a 26 year old male who didn’t win the gene lottery when it comes to hair. While I wish it didn’t bother me, who doesn’t want a solid head of hair! It took me a couple of years to commit to a transplant, and I’m so glad that I did, and even more glad I chose Dr. Harris. My issue with some other consultations was that they would either paint too bleak of a picture, or the exact opposite. Dr. Harris was realistic and positive in my consultations, and I am glad I trusted him. I am 1 year out and loving the results. Sure, it doesn’t look like it did 10 years ago, but I honestly don’t think any other transplant center could have done a better job than Dr. Harris. If I get a few years down the road and want the crown filled in any more, I will 100% go back.
