I’ve only had one in person visit, and so far I’m not impressed. I was grateful with how fast they got me an appointment, my eczema has become unbearable. The appointment itself felt very rushed, and I didn’t feel listened to. Since it was a last minute appointment I didn’t take it too personally. I didn’t get help that day because he told me I needed to speak with the specialist I was seeing for my pregnancy. Fast-forward, I get the okay from my pregnancy doctor and call the dermatologist to ask them to prescribe the medicine. They say they’ll call me back because nothing shows up in their notes on the appointment. They don’t call back. I call them back and they say they’ll send a topical steroid over to my pharmacy. I have to wait a couple days and when I go to pick it up its a tiny bottle of cream instructed for my face. Eczema is covering my entire body, at most the tube might cover two applications of all my eczema which isn’t enough to do anything. I have trouble moving, my skin is so bad on some joints. I call the dermatologist office, she says they’ll talk to the doctor and call something in for the rest of my body the next morning. 9:45 the following my pharmacy to see if they’ve called anything in. They didn’t. I call the pharmacy back, and again there are no notes, she just says they prescribed me the face cream and that’s it. She said she’d talk to the doctor, I wait on hold. Then she said the doctor would take care of it. We’ll see, I’m not very confident at this point, I honestly think the doctor doesn’t even have notes on the appointment, or recall the fact that I had bad eczema all over my body. (Despite asking to see it in the appointment and me showing him.)

To be fair, I’d like to highlight the bright spots of this practice: The business suite was well-maintained, the staff was kinder and clearly glad to be there, and the dermatologist Dr. Young Lee was much more professional than the personnel at a rival Reston practice. The pain point that led me to write this review was this: I came in to get a consultation on an issue and was billed over $300 for what they itemized as a ’30 – 44 minute’ visit. Luckily my insurance covered a portion, but half that time was simply waiting for the doctor to come in! They should disclose upfront that consultations are billed at that rate, I expected little to no co-pay.

Initial appointment process and consultation was fine. My wife was able to get the cosmetic treatment the same day. However, the treatment did not resolve the underlying issue that was being treated. We expected the treatment to be effective since we paid roughly $1050 for the Botox treatment. The effects of the treatment lasted few days and dissipated the following week. The treatment was not effective at all. Lastly, the appointment cancellation policy is very draconian. Unlike other medical offices, the patient is not given any leeway in regards to the fees charged by the office. If an appointment is missed, the office will automatically charge $75 for failing to cancel the appointment. The office manager was unwilling to refund the fee even though we offered to reschedule the missed follow up appointment. The office is purely looking to make profit from every patient no matter if a service was provided. Extremely dissatisfied with this office.

I received a referral from my Primary Care Physician and making an appointment with Reston Dermatology was very easy and I was surprised with how soon I could be seen. (Approx 2 weeks) The new patient online registration was straightforward and user friendly. The front office staff are friendly and helpful. My initial consultation was extremely thorough and I was provided a prescription and had a minor procedure/injection performed. My Dermatologist was awesome and I am very pleased with my treatment.

I visited for a routine skin check and ended up needing a biopsy. The staff explained the entire process to me & made me feel comfortable. The entire staff & doctor were very pleasant & welcoming, & the office is beautiful & clean. I appreciate that there are cosmetic services available but none were suggested to me during my medical appointment (this was not the case at my last derm’s office where they suggested cosmetic procedures during my skin check and I felt uncomfortable).

Probably good doctors, but really poor customer service. Accidentally missed an appointment because I asked for a Thursday and they booked me for a Wednesday. Was looking forward to coming only to find out it was the day before and they still charged me even though it was a mix up. No one cares about customer service anymore…lost a customer.
