Usually I come in for Taylor to rock out my undercut but this time, I saw Carmen for a fresh cut.I have thick, curly hair and haven’t had a good haircut in years. Began growing my hair out 2 years ago and have struggled with managing the new found curls and texture that comes with the length. This was my 1st visit so when I called they did a short interview to ensure I was paired with the right stylist. What a difference it made. I was greeted immediately as I entered and offered something to drink while I waited. Melinda quickly there after introduced herself and said she’d be with me in a moment. Hands down this was the best experience I’ve ever had at a salon. I learned more about my hair and how to manage it in 45 minutes than I have my whole life. Being an older man with mostly greying hair it has been intimidating growing it out. Melinda took the time to not only educate me on how to properly care for it, but also gave me the confidence to continue and feel great about it. The cut turned out great and she gave me a few tips to add volume and texture to it when I style myself. Not only did she do a fantastic job, but her assistant was very nice too. I can’t say enough about how professional and knowledgeable the staff was. My wife even picked up some product while she waited. There is a reason this shop has so many great reviews and why a lot of them mention Melinda. I have absolutely no reservations referring anyone male or female to this shop. If I could rate it 6 stars I would. Thank you for helping me to really “Rock” my long hair. Y’all are amazing

Called for a new appointment, the process was quick and easy.Saw Shane he was fantastic. He took time to make sure we were aligned on exactly what he was going to do. I love the cut and enjoyed the studio, it’s even worth walking up three flights of stairs! It’s a cool space as well.

This is a very nice hair salon in downtown Athens, GA. The atmosphere at this salon is very busy but quiet. You always seem to be getting full attention of your hair stylist. There is always special administrative staff to answer the phones, schedule appointments, and take payment. Hillary, my hair stylist, specializes in color and cuts. I have been pleased with Hillary’s work each time I go for a cut and color. I feel like she listens to me until she understands exactly what I want done. All the staff are very pleasant. My experience with the service is excellent.

Maddie is by far the best hair stylist I have been to in Athens!! I’ve been a loyal client of hers for over 2 years now! I Followed her to Republic and I was not disappointed!
