Went here with a friend for his haircut and we had a bad experience. He had made the appointment over the phone and the first sign of unprofessionalism was that they did not take a name or number or any info for the appointment. We walked over – a 30 minute walk and we walk a lot so I doubt he was super sweaty (becomes important later). We also did not have masks with us, but seeing the sign on the door we apologized and asked if she had extra while maintaining distance. There was just one woman there that we saw and she very briefly made eye contact before looking back at her laptop and saying, “Get masks.” I apologized (again) and said we didn’t have masks, to which she initially responded with incredulity, and then said my friend could have a mask. I left and moments after I walked out the door my friend waved me back saying she said I could just sit in the lobby. I was already put off by her attitude though so went across the street to McDonalds to wait. Maybe 5 mins later he came to join me. He said she told him that his hair was oily and needed a wash. He just washed his hair last night so while it might have been damp with sweat from our short walk, it was not oily. My friend is South Asian also, which I want to believe but am not entirely convinced was irrelevant to the content of the interaction. The proprietor went on to say that if he didn’t let her wash his hair first she would not be responsible if the haircut was not satisfactory. At that point he elected to cancel his appointment and depart. We walked down the road to a different salon that also required masks but graciously provided them, and said his slightly sweaty hair was no problem, and gave him a great cut.

She’s very good at what she does. Make sure to call in advance to book a time. Definitely a recommended place for people with straight hair as she is experienced with it and cuts mine better than any other place I’ve been to in the area. A little bit pricier than most however.

I had a great experience here. She was very flexible and talented with my desired hair style of choice. Well worth the time and money. She likes to keep to a schedule, so making an appointment ahead of time is best and probably the only way to get a hair cut from her.
