I bought two vouchers for me and my friend and let me just explain how it was a complete waste of money. I came here before and I had a great experience, so I was expecting the same positive experience. That was not the case this time. I made an appointment and we got there in time, but we were asked to wait for about 20 min. My massage was the worst massage I have ever received. It was extremely painful and I had to ask the girl several times to go softer. She was too rough and used her bones to massage me. It was extremely uncomfortable and I honestly thought about leaving the room and asking for a manager but I was hopeful she would get better. I didn’t even want to give her the tip because she did not deserve it. But I kept it professional and paid her for her service. She seemed new at the job, as she caused me more pain. There was no type of relaxation within the 90 min of this massage. She did not listen to the fact that I was in pain and she did not avoid the areas I did not want to be massaged. I came out with even more back pain which defeated the whole purpose. This 90 minutes felt more like torture and I was counting down the minutes. Also I would add that she did not make me feel comfortable whatsoever. I am a curvy woman, so the small towel that was provided had a lot of my body parts exposed the entire time. Overall, the experience was uncomfortable for me. When I asked my friend about her experience, she had the same issue and told the women that she was being too rough. She also stated that the women spent too much time in one area so it was extremely uncomfortable after awhile. I really should have spoken to the manager but it seemed like they could not understand me. I should be refunded for this horrific experience. Please train your employees and please ensure that customers feel comfortable!

I always used to go to Equinox’s master therapists for sports massages, and have had a few amazing ones, but they’ve been inconsistent, so I wanted to try this place. I’ve been here about 5 times now with several masseuses, and I have to say I’ve been extremely happy with every experience. I like a strong, deep tissue massage that is, at times, painful… but it actually heals my body. That way, I can work out hard, and once in a while get a great, strong healing massage. These massages are heaven sent. If you’re a guy (or girl) who likes a strong (and skilled) massage and can handle it, LEO is amazing. He helps break up fascia and knots like no other. MICHAEL is another excellent option, his pressure seems slightly less than Leo, so if you want a medium/strong massage, he’s your go-to. Foot massages are incredible, too.. again, LEO gives a very strong lower leg and foot massage for when you really need the deep work. I’ve also been with other masseuses and it seems they’re all very good. I always see everyone leaving extremely satisfied. The first time I ever came in, a women even yelled to me, “BEST MASSAGES IN NYC!” and man, is she right ! Also very clean and nice space, especially given the price.

This is a clean, bright space, got an excellent foot massage. Person used a lot of pressure which I personally appreciate/need given I run a lot. But if you don’t like it (as others reviewing have apparently not liked it) then perhaps specify that to the person doing the massage? Sometimes it can be hard to communicate but the desk staff speak perfect English.

I came in for a 6pm appointment using a Groupon voucher for a 30min foot rub and a 30 min back massage. While getting my back massage it was the most painful massage I have ever received. I went in with mild pain and left out felling worst then I went in. While getting the massage the lady did not ask if it was too rough it was so hurtful that I just wanted it to be over with. I woke up this morning with the worst back pain so bad that I could cry. I did give a tip for her service and wish I didn’t because it was horrible!

The reviews are right, they are super rough when massaging, at one point the massager got onto the table, deep tissue shouldnt be painful , esp telling him multiple times to go softer, tbh his English isnt too well so I think thats the miscommunication, he just would ease up sometimes. Anyways they were super nice and not pushy about a tip so thats cool, however my shoulder is sore now from the DEEP tissue, I would suggest dont come here if you don’t enjoy super deep rough massages.

Massage was entirely too rough. They used their elbows and knuckles leaving me in pain and bruised the next day. I bought my sister and I vouchers and upon arrival they made me pay and extra 10 dollars each. What a scam!! I will never return, not even for free.
