Where do I start, except unbelievably great! I have been going to Renee’s shop for about 25 years. Tee is currently cutting, coloring, and styling my hair to absolute perfection. I have had people stop me in stores, at work, and neighborhood to know “who does your hair”!!!! Renee has several people to cover an array of hair, styles, and people. It is like a wonderful family. You can’t go wrong.

I called at 9am to see if they could do same day low highlights. —as most know, you need to schedule an appointment in advance with any salon. So I was beyond thrilled when Renee could fit me in with Terry. —Terry is a color expert and is awesome. Needless to say I will be back in 6-8 weeks for a touch up. Support local and go see Renee.

It was an interesting experience. The man Terry there was a bit bombarding. Renee was the one cutting my hair, but he kept swooping in. He was rough and pulled my hair. He also said I should get layers, even though I didn’t want them. He said I should, or my haircut would look like a lamp shade. Very odd thing to say, in my opinion. Renee was sweet and so was her daughter. The actual haircut took a quite a long time, but she was friendly and gave a nice massage while washing my hair. Please consider removing Terry. I think it would be better for business.

Renee has been taking care of my hair for years. I say “taking care,” because she gives me more than a great cut, style, and color. She gives me a style that makes my cowlicks behave, and color and highlights that look oh so wonderful, especially when my natural color is mousy grey! Renee’s daughter Julie is the expert for my husband’s hair. I’ve watched Julie do precision cuts and beard trims for men, and beautiful styles and color for women. She’s my go-to when Renee is off on some of her fun world travels.

Julie is who worked on my hair last year in October. I had long hair and went to donate it and she was very patient. On top of that I wanted a dye and she worked with me in between her other appointments to get me what I wanted. It turned out fabulously. I plan on going back this next week. She is great for conversation as well. Its very reasonably priced as well.

Renee’s is the best place to get your hair cut in Charlotte! I seriously haven’t had a haircut this good, ever. She listens to what I want and need and then does her magic – I leave feeling so good about myself! Renee is professional and caring and there is a lot of love in this salon.
