Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueAfter moving here from NY six years ago and searching high and low all over the state of RI for a stylist… and I mean HIGH AND LOW! –I FINALLY found Corrine, an incredibly gifted stylist who is also genuinely down to earth and all about her clients.I’ve been to dozens of different stylists over the years, some better than others, but many were just so invalidating when I’d raise a concern or attempt to explain what I wanted (which usually resulted in me walking out disappointed, regardless of the 15 printed photos I’d brought with me to carefully spell out the cut/color I wanted). I’ve paid FAR more than I ever should have over the years for sloppy “ombre,” “sombre,” “balayage” and whatever else (and always felt too bad to leave an honest review of their work).Corrine possesses the skill level of a stylist with double and triple her years of experience – granted she’s been doing hair for almost a decade but she’s still just so GOOD. At this point, after having so many different stylists work on my hair, I’m convinced her “eye” can’t be taught, someone either has it or they don’t.We’ve pretty much spent the past however many appointments just doing damage control, working at getting my hair back to normal/camouflaging a series of disasters, while growing out the layers and pieces that weren’t meant to be cut or bleached in the first place. I am still waiting for all the “bad ombre” to just grow out, but somehow, even in this damaged state, Corrine has managed to make my hair look and feel 100x better than it has in the past couple years.All that said, if you’re looking for an upscale, unpretentious salon in the Newport area, a talented & artistic stylist and a boatload of good vibes, I wholeheartedly recommend Corrine at Remedy Beauty Co.As for me, I’m just relieved.
