Critical: ProfessionalismThe salon is mediocre at best, but that’s not even my biggest complaint. The picture with the writing is what I requested, the other picture is what I received. Just to name a few issues, the coffin shape isn’t clean, you can already see some of my natural nail as if they’ve grown out although I just got them done like 4 hours ago, and the front of the nails aren’t filed straight. Even for my pedicure, my feet sat in lukewarm water because apparently the salon doesn’t have any hot water. Nonetheless I still paid $140+ dollars for my service and was generous enough to offer a tip after my poor experience. Upon offering the tip, my nail tech had an attitude and told me it wasn’t enough. When I asked if she would like me to take it back then, she recruited another worker to continue to harass me about tipping more. They seemed as though they wouldn’t let me leave because of a TIP.The fact that I was nice enough to even offer to tip after being displeased with a $140+ dollar service and was in turn harassed for more money left a really bad taste in my mouth for this salon. Tips are optional and honestly, the service did not call for one. However, because I feel for service workers I always try to tip as much as I can. My nail technician did not have the same empathy for me, though, as I was the one she got angry with instead of her employer. It is not the customer’s responsibility to cover your wages. Clearly the owner needs to pay their workers more or include mandatory gratuity in their prices. I gave them their tip since they wouldn’t leave me alone, but I will not be returning.——Tl;dr: The salon clearly doesn’t pay their workers well so in turn you will be harassed if they feel your tip isn’t good enough. The salon is mediocre at best, but that’s not even my biggest complaint. The picture with the writing is what I requested, the other picture is what I received. Just to name a few issues, the coffin shape isn’t clean, you can already see some of my natural nail as if they’ve grown out although I just got them done like 4 hours ago, and the front of the nails aren’t filed straight. Critical: Quality, ValueI went to the salon and got a pedicure and a powder manicure with tips. I have never gotten such a horrible manicure in my life. The skin on my fingers is stuck to my nails from the glue. The thickness of all my nails is different. On one hand she put the powder over my cuticles then when she filed with the drill she was filing my skin. On the other hand she she left the cuticles all sloppy. She also made my nails crooked and was annoyed when I asked to fix it. Then she started speaking to the manicurist that was in charge and she told me to trust her and that she’s better than her. Honestly this looks like I did this manicure on my own. A COMPLETE waste of 77$.
