This place is the best! I only strayed from them once because I couldn’t get a quick drop in appointment after trying to reschedule my cancellation. I won’t make that mistake again. Nancy is awesome and the price is so reasonable compared to other high end salons in the area. I was so disappointed with my second choice salon: they left dye on my skin and told me they couldn’t cover my grays in one appointment. I gave them a second chance and I still left feeling duped and overcharged. Very weird experience. Thankfully, I went back to Refuge for Healthy Hair and left feeling like a million bucks. When you find a great salon in NH, stick with them!

This salon is as good as it gets. While Laurel is leader of the pack and a genius with color and cut, Berget and Nancy are also wonderful. It doesn’t really matter whom you book with, each one is a real pro. Beyond that, the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable, the Aveeda products so kind on your hair, and I have never seen a client (including myself) leave that salon with anything but a smile on her face. Refuge is a really great find. I rank them as number one in comparison with salons in Boston and beyond. It’s a destination salon in the heart of Meredith, NH.
