Used to come here all the time as a walk in, didnt really know it turned into an appointment only kind of deal. Didnt know about it till after the first guy got done with his hair. Was told the walk in barber should be here soon but showed up really late. Place opened at 9am, i was there at 8am because i know how full it gets, and i thought i got lucky being the first person there. 2nd barber that does walk ins finally showed up at 10, only to skip over me and go with the person she knows. She said sorry that she’ll get me after shes done with her friend. 2 hours i waited, extremely disappointed. Wasted 2 hours and late for work now. Thanks alot guys.

Do you want to pay to wait up to two hours? If you answered yes this is the place for you. Have the service of watching news on TV and not knowing if you’ll be picked next. The thrill and excitement of the unknowing is worth the price! Will you be picked in 30 minutes or two hours? Just make sure you don’t have plans anytime afterwards because of this great experience!

First let me say that Rob is very good at his craft. You will receive a quality haircut from this barber. My lower rating is based on the advertised services and the fulfillment of (or lack thereof) these services. You have two options, like most hair-cutting establishments; walk-in or book an appointment. If you decide to walk-in you can expect a lengthy wait. You’re lucky if it’s only 30 minutes. I’ve sat for up to two hours because you never know if someone will walk in after you who has an appointment. Moving on to booking an appointment (and the basis for my review), this service costs $8 extra on top of the $15 men’s haircut. You must call/text the barber directly; no online booking available. I began with booking an appointment during the day but found myself still waiting a significant amount of time after I arrived on the scheduled time. I then booked my appointment for the first available time slot so I could get in and get out. Rob repeatedly missed our appointment time, the worst being 45 minutes late. I even asked if 9am was still good for him or if we needed to push this time back but he insisted the next time he would be there only to be late again.

Hours of operation often change, it’s only two people working, Ms. Teresa and Roberto. There is always a line of people waiting (at least a 45 min. wait). Haircuts for men are usually $15 with extra charges for beard trimming or making an appointment, but they do a great job. Ms. Teresa is fast and always in a good mood, Roberto works at a much lower pace than her, but does a great job too.

I’ve never had to set an appointment to go to a barber shop maybe if it was a salon I would understand but this is a barbershop you’re supposed to be able to walk in wait your turn and get a haircut but I’m told that you have to get an appointment

Robert has cut my hair many times and I have been to many other stylists when I couldn’t get to Refine , this dude is the best and to top it off him and his wife are awesome folks , I feel blessed to know him and he is very talented!

By far the best barber in Mt. Pleasant. This guy is so talented. He has plenty of places to sit while you are waiting to get your fresh cut. While you wait, there is a bathroom that you can also use.
