Rapture is my go-to massage place in Tacoma after my previous massage therapist closed up shop. I’ve tried a few others in town, but Rapture meets my needs best: calming, attractive, and quiet space; kind, patient, and friendly staff; effective and relaxing deep tissue massage, particularly in the shoulders/upper back area; and easy/convenient to access. I typically see Carol, but Rosie, June, and Karen are all amazing too. Carol and Rosie work wonders on my tight shoulders! Highly recommend Rapture.

Came here to help with a previous injury that always rears it’s head every once in a while. Carol took the time to understand my situation and helped relieve my discomfort. Carol took extra time to even my body out even though I only booked a half hour slot. Will definitely be coming back to resolve my back and nerve issues. Make sure to drink plenty of water! The space is very clean and the vibe inside is good and relaxed. The staff are very friendly.

I couldn’t say a single bad thing about this place! They were fantastic in every aspect. They were flexible when I realized I didn’t have the right coupon, AND they got me in the next day. Karen is top notch. I’m a picky massage person, and I have been going from one place to another trying to find a great massage. I THINK I HAVE FOUBD MY PLACE, PEOPLE! Karen takes just a couple minutes to sit down with you to make sure she understands your needs or concerns, she lets you relax and adjusts to your requests super well. I LOVED it. 10/10, 5 stars, the BEST.

It’s hard to find a spa in Tacoma that is high quality while also being reasonably priced. I live in Lakewood, and there are about 20 asian massage parlors in my area. Trying to be open minded, I went to one and towards the end of my session, the woman giving me the massage climbed on my back, and used her hands and knees. It was… Awkward. Carol is one of the best if not the best massage therapists I have had the pleasure of experiencing. She is very attentive to anatomy and my specific health conditions, ie whiplash. I have had various therapists work on my neck and shoulders and she knew about some very helpful techniques that no one has tried. Usually it seems massages end exactly on time and the massage can sometimes feel like it is a rote or kinda canned routine. Carol asked if it would be OK to continue past our time because she wanted to continue to help me. That is amazing. I felt completely well cared for and that Carol gave it her all. She is petite but really strong!, well trained and gives the best massage. Really! I highly recommend her and am very glad I found her through a Living Social deal.

I went in there with a neck, shoulder pain like no other, left after my 90 minute massage feeling lite as a feather. I will say this getting a massage is worth every dollar if you are suffering from terrible pains. I know that it can be costly But if you go to Rapture you will always find yourself happy to have spent that money on yourself to feel good, did I mention that the place is also very inviting and cute.

Carol is excellent! I’ve had tons of massages and Carol goes above and beyond. You can tell she really cares about her clients – she’s not on autopilot. She caters the massage to the individual and she wants to know about you: your likes and dislikes, if you suffer from chronic pain, etc. She has a very calm presence as well (some massage therapists chat your ear off). Book Carol for an hour (or more) of peaceful, tailored-to-you bliss!
