Critical: PunctualityI went to rapheals for my birthday. I chose his salon because it was one of the only ones who had a slot during my December Timeframe and he did not have a deposit. I’m old school I’m not giving anyone a deposit before I know anything about your salon or styling. Anyway My appointment was at 11:30 , Raphael did not show up until 12:30, when he showed up he immediately went to the barbershop next door and got his OWN hair done, I was not able to get into his chair until at least 1:30 . He then informered me that the closure that I wanted to use was too thin even though I informed him at least a week before about what type of hair I had and how many packs. So long story short i booked a lace closure but ended up getting a leave out with a side part. A SIDE PART IN 2021/2022!! I asked him if you are going to do a leave out can you please do a middle part he said no and continued to do a side part.either way pictures and bday were ruined.Edit. There was nothing patchy or thin about my closure . He knew what style he was going to give me to make it easiest and quicker for HIM, before I even sat in the chair. I went to rapheals for my birthday. I chose his salon because it was one of the only ones who had a slot during my December Timeframe and he did not have a deposit. I’m old school I’m not giving anyone a deposit before I know anything about your salon or styling. Got there before time and decided I wouldn’t bother him until 11:05am (even though I noticed I was the only person at the building).Texted him at 11:05am: “Hey it’s ____. I have an appointment at 11 and I’m outside of your building” he simply texted back “I’m almost there.” No ‘hey’ no apology or anything.I still waited outside the shop until a little after 11:20 but he still didn’t show up so I left and told him to cancel it.At around 11:40 he texted me stating that his phone died on the way to his shop and he’s sorry. What does your phone have to do with you opening your shop on time? At least he apologized I guess. My little silk press wasn’t enough to matter. I’m sure he wasn’t even on the way, looks like his excuse is always his phone. Wasted my time and gas.
