This salon is so great! Buffy is the best at what she does, though beyond that, their salon is so warm and inviting and just makes you feel like you’re sitting in someone’s little living room, bathing in natural light, without all the harsh smells or sights that typically accompany a salon visit. Check Ramble On out next time you want to get a little somethin somethin done to your do! I drive in from Austin just to see Buffy, so that may say something about how highly I regard Buffy and her art + space!

I’ve been seeing Buffy Thomas for a few years now in Austin, and when I say that Bastrop is gaining a star stylist…i truly mean it. She is so consultative, she truly knows her colors and her cuts are always exactly how I imagined they’d be. I can’t say enough great things about Buffy, except go see her! I only go out for a haircut every few years or so. This time I really wanted to make sure I went somewhere that didn’t use toxic chemicals and I found the only natural salon in Bastrop! Everything aligned perfectly and I’m in love with my hair! I appreciate I didn’t need to ask what products were used. It’s more than any haircut I’ve ever paid for, but worth every penny! Buffy was really open and kind and I was very comfortable around her. It’s a beautiful space overall and I’m glad Bastrop is home to Ramble On.

This studio is a GEM!!! Jen has been my hairdresser for a few years now and I’d follow her anywhere. Not only does she give me the best haircuts of my life (not exaggerating) , she’s just the coolest person to be around . Her specialty is layered/textured cuts which work great for my thick hair and she uses low toxic hair color which I believe is so important for the health of stylists and clients . The space is gorgeous — it’s a historic house in downtown Bastrop near the riverwalk and has tons of natural light and a welcoming, luxurious ,rock and roll vibe. It’s awesome . Buffy Thomas is another hairdresser who is beginning part time there and she’s an amazing person. **100% ** worth the visit to Ramble On no matter if you’re in Bastrop, Austin, Elgin etc!!!!!!
